Abstract: A package structure, including: a first packaging member having oppositely arranged first surface and second surface; a control chip covered by the first packaging member; a plurality of conductors provided on and protruding from the control chip and electrically connected to electrical contacts of the control chip, the conductors being covered by the first packaging member, and ends of the conductors facing away from the control chip being flush with the first surface; a wire pattern layer disposed on the first surface and electrically connected to the conductors; a light emitting element located on the first surface and electrically connected to the control chip via the wire pattern layer; and a second packaging member covering the light emitting element and affixed to the first surface and the wire pattern layer, a light beam emitted by the light emitting element being allowed to travel outward through the second packaging member.

Abstract: A set-top box receives media transport streams from a content provider server, decodes the media transport streams to a video program, and records the video program to a storage system. The video program includes program titles, program sections, and advertisements. The set-top box generates a plurality of unique identities of frames in one program title using types and media transport stream quantities of the frames. The set-top box signs other program titles in the video program by comparing types and media transport stream quantities of the frames with the generated unique identities during recording the video program. The set-top box can filter the advertisements according to the signed program titles.

Abstract: A method for setting communication parameters applied in a wireless local area network including a mobile station and an access point. The method includes: providing predefined communication parameters by the access point; transmitting a communication parameter setting request frame to the access point by the mobile station; determining whether the mobile station is a legal user by the access point; transmitting a communication parameter setting response frame from the access point to the mobile station if the mobile station is a legal user; establishing a secure channel between the access point and the mobile station; transmitting the predefined communication parameters to the mobile station via the secure channel by the access point; and setting communication parameters of the mobile station according to the predefined communication parameters by the mobile station.

Abstract: A communication system includes a wireless network terminal (30), a wired network terminal (10), and a communication device (20). The communication device includes a Local Area Network (LAN) controller module (22), a process unit (24) and a transcoder (26). When the wired network terminal transmits a first kind of signal input to the communication device, the first kind of input signal is processed by the process unit and transformed into a first kind of output signal by the transcoder. Then the first kind of output is transmitted to the wireless network terminal. When the wireless network terminal transmits a second kind of signal input to the communication device. The second kind of input signal is transformed into the second kind of output signal by the transcoder. The second kind of output signal is processed by the process unit, and is then transmitted to the wired network terminal.

Abstract: A firmware upgrade method for a network device through a digital subscriber line. First, the network device transmits a request to a dynamic host configuration protocol server through a digital subscriber line. Then, information comprising a file server address and a query message are transmitted from the dynamic host configuration protocol server through the digital subscriber line to the network device in response to the request. The network device determines whether to upgrade the firmware of the network device according to the answer of the query message. If the network device determines to upgrade the firmware thereof, updated information about the firmware is downloaded from a file server corresponding to the file server address. Finally, the firmware of the digital subscriber line device is upgraded according to the updated information.
