  • Publication number: 20070236637
Abstract: A multi-domain vertical alignment liquid crystal display (MVA-LCD) panel includes an active element array substrate, an opposite substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the two substrates. The active element array substrate has scan lines, data lines, active elements, and pixel electrodes formed thereon. Each pixel electrode has first main slits. The first main slits may have a bent configuration. The opposite substrate has a common electrode layer that faces the active element array substrate. The common electrode layer has second main slits. The second main slits may also have a bent configuration.

  • Publication number: 20070164957
Abstract: A multi-domain LCD panel includes data lines, scan lines and pixels. Each pixel includes first and second sub-pixels respectively having first and second storage capacitors. A first data switch is selectively coupled to a first terminal of the first capacitor and one of the data lines. A second data switch is selectively coupled to a first terminal of the second capacitor and one of the data lines. First and second bias lines are respectively coupled to second terminals of the first and second capacitors. When a corresponding scan line is enabled, the first and second data switches turn on such that a signal on the data line is transmitted to the first and second sub-pixels. After the scan line is disabled, levels of the first and second bias lines are changed such that pixel voltages of the first and second sub-pixels differ from each other.

  • Publication number: 20070121048
Abstract: A multi-domain vertically aligned liquid crystal display includes an active element array substrate, an opposite substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the two substrates. The active element array substrate has a plurality of pixel units. Each pixel unit has a pixel electrode and the pixel electrode includes a first alignment pattern and a second alignment pattern. The opposite substrate includes a plurality of common electrodes and each common electrode includes a third alignment pattern and a fourth alignment pattern. The liquid crystal layer proximal each pixel unit is divided into a first domain set and a second domain set, wherein the first alignment pattern and the third alignment pattern correspond to the first domain set, and the second alignment pattern and the fourth alignment pattern correspond to the second domain set.

  • Patent number: 6797299
Abstract: A method for desalting nutritional supplements with animal protein, and a method for regenerating the ion exchange resin used in the desalting process are provided. The desalting method includes: (1) setting up a first, and a second columns containing strongly acidic cation exchange resin, and strongly basic anion exchange resin respectively; (2) passing the nutritional supplement, predetermined temperature and volume, through the first column to exchange sodium ions in the supplement for the cations, and thruogh the second column to exchange the anions; and (3) concentrating the nutritional supplement.

  • Publication number: 20030084314
Abstract: An identity verification system has a record medium, a terminal device and a main system device. The record medium records coded verification data. The terminal device reads the coded verification data on the record medium and saves new first coded verification data to the record medium. The main system device is connected to the terminal device. The main system device has decoding means to decode the coded verification data on the record medium to decoded verification data and encoding means to code the decoded verification data to new first coded verification data. The coded verification data on the record medium will be replaced with the new coded verification data generated by the encoding means of the main system device. This can prevent the original verification data from being stolen when the data is being transmitted between the terminal device and the main system device. The fraudulent use of the record medium can be prevented.
