Abstract: An interface device is for coupling a payment card to an electronic device so as to allow the electronic device to access the payment card. The interface device includes a housing, a switching unit movably connected to the housing, a circuit board brought to move relative to the housing by the switching unit, a card interface disposed on the circuit board, and a connecting interface to be coupled to the electronic device. The connecting interface and the circuit board cooperate to define a card slot for containing the payment card therein. The interface device is operable to switch between a retracted state, in which the connecting interface is contained in the housing, and an exposed state, in which the connecting interface protrudes from the housing.

Abstract: In a method for processing a payment, an electronic device receives transaction information related to a transaction and to a payment for the transaction, accesses a payment card via a portable payment device, cooperates with the payment card to generate a payment command to include at least the transaction information, establishes a session with a banking server, and transmits the payment command to the banking server under the session. The banking server identifies validity of the payment card based on the payment command, and processes the payment according to the transaction information afterward. The electronic device then receives a payment result generated by the banking server after completing the payment.

Abstract: In a method for processing a payment, a seller-end electronic device transmits payment information to a transaction platform, which transmits an authentication code to the seller-end electronic device. In the method, the mobile device is configured to retrieve at least one instruction that indicates a particular motion from a memory unit, to output the instruction, to generate an operation signal according to operation from a user via one of a motion sensing unit and a button unit, to obtain the operation signal from one of the motion sensing unit and the button unit and to determine whether the operation signal conforms with the motion corresponding to the instruction, and to generate a confirmation signal indicating that the mobile device is verified when the determination thus made is affirmative.

Abstract: A method is provided for accessing a memory device that stores a master key and at least one encrypted data file and that includes a data-key storage portion being encrypted using the master key and having at least one data key. In the method, a control unit is configured to receive a personal identification number (PIN), to determine whether the received PIN is authentic, to obtain the master key from the memory device upon determining that the PIN is authentic, to decrypt the encrypted data-key storage portion using the master key to obtain the at least one data key, and to decrypt the at least one encrypted data file using the data key to obtain a data file.

Abstract: A mobile transaction method is implemented using a portable electronic device for processing a transaction through an electronic transaction platform. The portable electronic device is removably coupled to a payment card that stores payment account information. In the method, the portable electronic device is operable to generate transaction information related to the transaction, to obtain the payment account information from the payment card, to establish a session and communicate with the electronic transaction platform, and to collaborate with the electronic transaction platform to process payment for the transaction.
