  • Publication number: 20140012104
Abstract: The invention provides a method for the observation, identification, and detection of blood cells, which comprises a label-free third harmonic generation (THG) tomography having a property of least injury. Submicron morphologies and granularities of blood cells can be revealed and reflected through this method. Leukocytes with different granularities can thus be identified from the intensity and distribution of third harmonic generation signals generated within cells. Furthermore, the method of the present invention is capable of performing a noninvasive sectioning microscopy image in vivo. Without cell and tissue damage, label-free third harmonic generation microscopy can real-time observe the morphology and dynamics of blood cells flowing in vessels or trafficking in tissues; Red blood cells and leukocytes have different morphology in blood flow and can thus be distinguished by in vivo third harmonic generation microscopy.

  • Patent number: 7486594
Abstract: An adjustable optical actuator with tilting function is provided, including two focusing coils, a tilting coil, and two tracking coils. A lens holder is hanged on a yoke base. The focusing coils are placed on the two sides of the lens holder, and the current in the focusing coils is perpendicular to the optical axis of the lens. The tilting coil is placed on the lens holder, and the current in the tilting coil is perpendicular to the optical axis of the lens. The tracking coils are placed on the lens holder, and the current in the tracking coils is parallel to the optical axis of the lens. Four magnets are placed on the yoke base so that the four magnets are placed at the four corners of the lens holder to generate a closed magnetic-flux. The lens holder, focusing coils, tilting coil, and tracking coils are within the scope of the magnetic-flux generated by the four magnets so that the actuator has the functions of focusing, tracking and tilting for adjustment.

  • Publication number: 20070245361
Abstract: A flat cable device for an optical pickup head is provided, including a traverse mechanism having a disc loader and an optical pickup unit, and a flexible printed circuit or a flat cable. The disc loader is for holding a disc, and the optical pickup unit is for reading and writing data to the disc. One end of the flat cable is connected to the optical pickup unit, and the other is connected to a circuit board. By changing the placement direction and the extending out location of the flat cable and connection with the optical pickup head, the problem of interference between the flat cable and the traverse mechanism is avoided and the traverse mechanism is enhanced.
