  • Patent number: 8777079
Abstract: A nail gun includes a rotatable shaft which can lock a switch of a trigger of the nail gun in a nail-empty condition. The rotatable shaft has a locking portion and a driven portion extending partly into a nail magazine, such that when a nail pushing member disposed in the nail magazine reaches a predetermined position, the nail pushing member pushes the driven portion to make the rotatable shaft rotate about an axis perpendicular to a marching direction of the nails loaded in the nail magazine. As a result, the locking portion of the rotatable shaft in an initial position and spaced away from the switch will move to a locking position to be engaged with the switch. Therefore, the nail gun can shoot nails continuously until there is totally no nail in the nail gun and the nail gun is locked.

  • Patent number: 8695862
Abstract: An oscillation reducing suspension device for a fan motor of a combustion-powered tool includes a rigid axial-play setting unit mounted on an upper major surface of a cylinder head, and having upper and lower limit defining members that are spaced apart from each other by an axial play route, a suspending mount configured to keep the fan motor oriented in a rotary axis, and having a lug which extends radially into the axial play route to divide the axial play route into proximate and distal regions, and an elastomeric damper unit having upper and lower damping members respectively disposed in the distal and proximate regions. By virtue of the rigid mount supporting the fan motor, and the resilient damper unit coupling the mount and the cylinder head, the fan motor is firmly secured to the cylinder head, and axial oscillation of the fan motor is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20130255984
Abstract: An impact device is used for an electric nail gun. The electric nail gun includes a supporting frame, a flywheel disposed pivotally on the supporting frame, and a swing arm disposed pivotally on the supporting frame. The impact device includes a sliding block disposed movably on the supporting frame, a nail striker rod connected to the sliding block, and an impact block floatable on the sliding block. When the swing arm rotates toward the flywheel, it presses the impact block against the flywheel to thereby move the sliding block from a pre-firing position to a firing position. Since the impact block is not co-rotatable with the swing arm, it can be designed to move in a direction the same as that of the nail striker rod, thereby facilitating smooth firing operation.

  • Publication number: 20120104070
Abstract: A two-switch device is used for an electric nail gun. The electric nail gun includes a safety member movable to press against an article to thereby move in the gun body, a kinetic power unit for generating kinetic energy, an impact unit for outputting kinetic energy to perform a nail-striking operation, and a transmission unit for transmitting the kinetic energy. The two-switch device includes a first electrical control unit controlled by a trigger and the safety member for driving the kinetic power unit, and a second electrical control unit controlled by an inner plate for driving the transmission unit. By controlling actuation order of the safety member and the trigger, the electric nail gun can be changed between a single shot mode and a continuous shooting mode.

  • Publication number: 20120074195
Abstract: A driving unit for an electric nail gun includes a pushing block. The pushing block is movable relative to a supporting bracket of the electric nail gun along an axis, and has an inclined surface abutting against an end of a swing arm. Movement of the pushing block results in pivoting movement of the swing arm between a first position, and a second position farther away from a flywheel than the first position. The inclined surface has a slope between 0.087 and 0.7, so as to lock effectively the swing arm at the first position to thereby increase the nail-striking force of an impact member.
