Abstract: This disclosure provides a backlight unit and a display apparatus including the backlight unit. The display apparatus includes a display panel and a backlight unit which has a light guide plate and a light source module neighboring the light guide plate. The light source module includes: a substrate; a printed-circuit layer having a metal wire and disposed on the substrate; a plurality of light sources having a first height, disposed on the printed-circuit layer, and electrically connected to the metal wire; and at least one protrusion member having a second height and disposed on the metal wire; wherein the second height is larger than the first height and less than or equal to two times the first height.
