  • Patent number: 8749532
Abstract: A pen-like optical input device includes a body. A light source, a light sensing unit and a lens are disposed in the body, a light ray is emitted by the light source to the outside of the body, and a reflected light ray is generated outside the body. The reflected light ray then is received by the light sensing unit after being refracted by the lens, in which the light sensing unit has a light receiving surface, and a normal of the light receiving surface inclines to an optical axis of the lens, thereby forming an angle with the optical axis.

  • Patent number: 8531436
Abstract: A specific wavelength selecting method for an optical input device includes the following steps. A light source for respectively emitting at least two light rays in different wavelength regions is first enabled. Next, the two light rays are projected to a working surface to obtain at least two corresponding reflected light rays. Then, optical signals of the reflected light rays are detected and compared to obtain a preferred optical result. Finally, a light ray in the most suitable wavelength region is selected and enabled according to the preferred optical result.

  • Publication number: 20110228118
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of extracting a 3D image having steps of providing a movable optical lens assembly on an imaging path between a single lens and a single image sensor; controlling the moveable optical lens assembly to move repeatedly to make the single image sensor obtain different 2D images with parallaxes through the moveable optical lens assembly; and combining the 2D images with parallaxes to extract a 3D image. Therefore, the present invention reduces cost of extracting 3D images and controlling complexity of extracting 3D images.

  • Publication number: 20110090178
Abstract: A detecting method for a pen-like optical input device with multiple optical components includes the following steps. At least two optical components for emitting light rays respectively are first enabled. The optical components are disposed within a pen-like body of the optical input device respectively at different angle. Next, the optical components separately emit light rays to a working surface respectively, so as to obtain at least two corresponding reflected light rays. Then, optical signals of the reflected light rays are detected and compared with each other to obtain a preferred optical result. Then, according to the optical result, a most appropriate optical component is selected to be enabled continuously for operation.
