  • Patent number: 6872024
Abstract: A pivot shaft structure for scissor mechanisms consists of a pivot shaft and a matching receiving hole. The pivot shaft includes at least a turning contour formed by a portion of the shaft contour of a pseudo turning shaft and a constraint contour formed by removing another portion of the pseudo turning shaft. The receiving hole has an hole contour for matching the pivot shaft and includes at least a matching turning contour formed by a portion of an hole contour of a pseudo turning shaft opening and a matching constraint contour formed by filling another portion of the pseudo turning shaft opening. Through the matching between the pseudo turning shaft and the pseudo turning shaft opening, the turning contour of the pivot shaft may pivotally turn in the matching turning contour of the receiving hole, and through contact between the constraint contour of the pivot shaft and the matching constraint contour of the receiving hole to form a turning limitation for the pivot shaft in the receiving hole.

  • Publication number: 20040228668
Abstract: A foldable input apparatus for inputting data to an electronic device is provided. The foldable input apparatus includes a connection part, a first input part, a second input part, a first housing and a second housing. The connection part includes a first pivot, a second pivot, a third pivot and a fourth pivot. The first housing pivotally connects to the first pivot, and the second housing pivotally connects to the third pivot. The first input part pivotally connects to the second pivot, and the second input part pivotally connects to the fourth pivot. The first input part and the first housing rotate with respect to different pivots, and so do the second input part and the second housing. Therefore, when the first input part, the first housing, the second input part and the second housing rotate with respect to the connection part, a relative position of the first input part and the first housing as well as that of the second input part and the second housing are correspondingly changed.

  • Publication number: 20040207598
Abstract: A support apparatus includes a body, a first unit, a second unit, and a third unit. The first unit rotatably connects to the body. The second unit has a first end and a second end, and the first end of the second unit rotatably connects to the first unit. The third unit has a first end and a second end rotatably connecting to the body and the second unit respectively. When the first, second, and third units move with respect to one another and cooperate with the body to form a support configuration, the second end of the second unit and said body are substantially on a same plane so that the second unit supports the first unit for supporting a first electronic device. When the first, second, and third units form as a folded configuration, the first unit is folded on the body.

  • Patent number: 6747867
Abstract: An elevated and lower and lower keyboard apparatus comprises a base, plural of key-top-lids, plural of scissors-devices and a guiding board. The scissors-device comprises a first connection rod and a second connection rod, which are intersected to form a turning scissors configuration, which is arranged between the base and the key-top-lid. Through the confinement of the scissors-device, the key-top-lid may make a rise-up and lower-down motion relatively to the base. In a movable manner, the guiding board is arranged on the base to process a movement between a first position and a second position. Relative to the plural of scissors-devices, there are plural of guiding blocks formed on the guiding board. When the guiding board moves from the second position to the first position, the guiding block presses upon the second connection rod and makes the second connection rod move closely to the base, and further, relatively to the base, it makes key-top-lid lowering down.

  • Patent number: 6713700
Abstract: An elevatable key switch and a keyboard with the elevatable key switch are provided. The elevatable key switch includes a base, a cap, an up-down mechanism, an elastic member, a movable element, and a driving element. The cap is disposed above the base. The up-down mechanism, which is disposed between the base and the cap, supports the cap to perform vertical movement relative to the base. The elastic member is disposed on the base, and the movable element is movably disposed on the elastic member. The driving element drives the movable element to make substantial horizontal movement, so that the movable element selectively moves between a first position and a second position. When the movable element is in the first position, the movable element supports the up-down mechanism in an operation configuration. When the movable element is in the second position, the movable element releases the up-down mechanism entering a contraction configuration.

  • Patent number: 6706986
Abstract: A scissors-like linkage structure for use in a key switch includes a first arm having a pivot and a second arm. The second arm has a slot with a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is larger in diameter than the second portion. The pivot selectively moves to the first portion and the second portion. When the pivot moves to the second portion to engage with the second portion, the first arm is rotatably connected to the second arm in a connection configuration. When the pivot moves to the first portion, the first arm and the second arm are in a semi-connection configuration. A method for assembling the scissors-like linkage structure includes the step of forming the scissors-like linkage structure to position the pivot in the first portion of the slot in one injection mode. Then, the pivot moves to the second portion of the slot to engage with a wall of the second portion of the slot.

  • Publication number: 20030193419
Abstract: A keyboard with elevated keys for a notebook computer. The keys of the keyboard are elevated when the notebook computer is opened, and can be depressed when the flat display is closed. The keyboard has keys movably connected to the foundation sheet through scissors-type linking mechanisms. A plurality of guiding sheets is movably disposed on a foundation sheet and has hooks and tracks. Each of the tracks is parallel to a first direction. A sliding member is movably disposed on the foundation sheet and has protrusions extending into each of the tracks. When the sliding member moves in the first direction, the protrusions move the guiding sheets from a first position to a second position. The hooks of the guiding sheets sequentially press the scissors-type linking mechanism of each key to depress the keys of the keyboard from elevated position to depressed position.
