Publication number: 20030105562Abstract: The present invention is a power output control system for electric vehicle with hybrid fuel cell, which is an optimal design of DC/DC converter and applies the controller area network (CAN) as a connected instrument for communication to make a power source tend to be more flexible. When the invention is designed in the states of medium and low loads (for example, cruise in constant speed), the main electric energy supplied by the fuel cell boosts the fuel cell to an appropriate voltage through the control of DC/DC converter. While in the state of high load (for example, transient acceleration or uphill creep), the fuel cell may be served as an on-board charger. Not only the fuel cell may provide a maximum base load of electric power, but also the remaining requirement of electric energy is matched with the additional output of electric energy supplied by a high power secondary battery.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2001Publication date: June 5, 2003Applicant: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventors: Jui-Sheng Hsiao, Chien-Tsung Wu, Chi-Tang Hsu, Jin-Chyuan Hung, Ping-Huei Shu

Patent number: 5415817Abstract: An improved injection/compression molding process for the manufacturing of high quality concave optical lenses of thin thickness. A thermoplastic material is injected into a mold cavity of an injection/compression molding machine, the mold cavity is designed to have adjustable thickness and is initially set at a thickness greater than the lens to be produced. After the amount of the plastic injected fills the enlarged cavity, the thickness of the cavity is gradually reduced by exerting a compressional force on the thermoplastic material inside the mold cavity. During the compression stage, the injection continues and the excess thermoplastic material is squeezed into an overflow pocket inside the injection/compression mold. The injection apparatus can be switched into a pressure holding mode during and after the compression stage to prevent any backflow and post-injection shrinkage.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 1993Date of Patent: May 16, 1995Assignee: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventors: Po-Ling Shiao, Chien-Tsung Wu, Chi-Shen Tuan, Tzong-Ming Yeh
