    Abstract: A structure and method for repairing SDRAM by generating a Slicing Table of Fault Distribution and using the size of SDRAM page as the partition basic block. The Slicing Table of Fault Distribution is generated at each booting or memory-testing, and the elemental range of the number of detected defects is formed. When the number of detected defects exceeds the elemental range, the limits of another partition block with a lower rate of defects are used to cure the defect. The repair bit is also encoded according to the Slicing Table of Fault Distribution, pointing to the remapping bit so that the access operation occurs at the remapping bit. As such, the cost of producing, testing and repairing SDRAM is greatly reduced.

    Abstract: The invention is related to a control method to make IC's operation mode to be provided with uncertainty, wherein a Genetic Random Number is produced with the first use of IC, and a Run-Time Random Number is produced with every use of IC, both numbers are produced from the Random Number pool in IC, and then produce a long serial number through hash function, which include a plurality of control bits to serve as the function control of data shuffle for IC data access, path and direction for data flow, etc. The said long serial number varies with the random number during each time of execution, thus the control method of the long serial number is various and the IC's operation mode is provided with uncertainty. As IC is applied to e-commerce, data security or encryption/decryption process, due to the uncertainty of IC's behavior, a hacker cannot catch the fixed IC's operation mode to break through it just through analysis to a single IC, therefore the data security can be protected.

    Abstract: A method and system for emulating a secret code between a first hardware module to a second hardware module. First, the secret code that is initially stored in the first hardware module is transformed into a transformed secret code according to a transformation pattern randomly selected from a set of possible transformation patterns. Then the transformed secret code is transferred to the second hardware module. Next, the second hardware module can repeatedly guess a hypothetical secret code from the transformed secret code by using a transformation pattern selected from the possible transformation patterns and reversing the effect of the selected transformation pattern on the transformed secret code. In addition, the hypothetical secret code is used to encode a test sample, and the encoded test sample is sent back to the first hardware module. Accordingly, the first hardware module can verify the validity of the current hypothetical secret code by checking the encoded test sample.

    Abstract: This invention generally relates to a method and apparatus for securing data contents stored in a non-volatile memory. More specifically, data contents to be stored a flash memory are first partitioned into block based data and rotated such that the addresses are scrambled. During a read operation, a random sequence generated through a random number generator causes contents of the retrieved data to also include original and extra (dummy) data. Through filtering and reverse rotation, original data contents are recovered. Accordingly, data contents in the flash memory are protected against unauthorized access, revision, or modification.

    Abstract: A lower inertial compact disk driving device is disclosed. The disk and laser head are static and optical unit device are used as a medium of the laser optical path. Furthermore, the focusing is realized. An optical unit device is used as a medium of the laser beam and a displacing device is used to change the position of the optical unit device. The focusing device has two rigid sliding tracks, one focus coil, and two permanent magnets. The rigid sliding tracks are used as a linkage. The focusing error from the laser beam passing through the optical unit device is converted into a focusing driving voltage which is applied to the focus coil so that a magnetic field is generated. This field is interacted with permanent magnets so that the focus coil moves up and down. Thereby, the rigid sliding tracks move up and down to drive the optical unit device to move.

    Abstract: A self testing-and-repairing data buffer and method for operating the same are disclosed. The data buffer comprises a plurality of flip flops, a multiplexer, a test platform, a repair unit, and a buffer rearrange manager. The test platform generates test signals for checking each flip flop. If any damage is found, the repair unit is used to replace the damage flip flops for storing data. The buffer rearrange manager rearranges the address of the damage flip flops to the repair unit so that the data buffer can be operated normally. By the circuit layout and the precise calculation about time delay, the gated clock signal not used currently is used to form the working frequency of the flip flops of the data buffer so as to reduce the power as the IC is inoperative. Furthermore, the area of the data buffer and number of gates are reduced greatly.

Each channel further includes a plurality of signal lines. Implicit meaning (data, address or control signal) in the signal line is realized by judging the variation of duty cycle in a clock signal, or an A/C line is used to define the transmission of a start signature, an end signature, address signals and control signals. By providing the transmission models of the present invention, each channel can operate independently, perform unidirectional transmission of address and data signals, and adjust the channel arrangement in accordance with practical requirements. Thereby, the signal transmission between elements can be highly mobile, the idle transmission time between elements can be greatly reduced, and the optimal transmission efficiency can be achieved.

The first part of the secret code is stored in a non-volatile memory device, such as flash memories, and provided by an internal random number generator. The second part of the secret code is stored in a volatile memory device, such as registers, and provided by external visa data issued from an authority center. Such a configuration can guarantee that no one can ferret out the complete secret code by opening the sealed IC package.
