  • Publication number: 20060274034
Abstract: An apparatus and a method accommodating to an operating system for processing screen data are provided. A virtual video memory is virtualized in a system memory of a computer. Next, in a kernel mode of the operating system, the screen data are written in a video memory of a graphic card of the computer and in the virtual video memory. Then, in the kernel mode, the screen data in the virtual video memory are compressed. And the compressed screen data are transmitted out through a short-distance wireless transmission module of the computer to an outer display device.

  • Publication number: 20060274209
Abstract: A method and a control device using the same for controlling a display device comprises the steps of: generating a full image on the screen, in which the full image is generated in response to the complete image data; next generating a frame on the full image, and adjusting a size and a position of the frame; subsequently, capturing a part of the full image in the frame to define a display image; and magnifying the display image to the same size of the screen to display on the screen. Thereby, the defect from the boundary of the full image is eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20060209273
Abstract: An auto-turning on/off module is used for controlling projection apparatus to process an auto-turning on/off action according to an auto-turning on/off procedure and comprises a first central processing unit, a second central processing unit and a memory. The first and the second central processing unit are disposed in the projection apparatus and electrically coupled with each other. Furthermore, the memory is electrically coupled with the first central processing unit and/or the second central processing unit to use for recording an execution state of the auto-turning on/off immediately. Besides, an auto-turning on/off method is to turn on the projection apparatus first and then to input a turning on/off parameter into the projection apparatus to build the auto-turning on/of procedure. Thereafter, it is to execute the auto-turning on/off procedure and record the execution state of the auto-turning on/off immediately through the memory.

  • Publication number: 20060080543
Abstract: A method of customizing the startup logo of a projector. The main steps of the method include the following. First, a projector is connected to an external device. Thereafter, in batches, image data is read from an image file in the external device, stored in a memory buffer and written into a built-in flash memory of the projector to replace the startup logo with the image file. The method has the advantage of reaching the maximum resolution supported by the projector without any scaling operation or losing any quality. Moreover, the startup logo is fetched from an external device. Hence, its source is more comprehensive and can be changed at any time.

  • Publication number: 20060066256
Abstract: A method for managing bulb brightness, which is suitable for use in a displaying apparatus based on lamp, is proposed. The characteristics of the method include switching the lamp to the standard mode with maximum brightness in the displaying state, and switching the lamp to the ECO mode with reduced brightness in the other states. Therefore, this method is more adaptive than the prior art, making the apparatus to be more convenient in use, and optimizing the use of the lamp in presenting higher picture quality, and prolonging the lifetime of lamp.

  • Publication number: 20060058016
Abstract: A wireless projector equipped with an embedded download server to allow users to directly download transport software and driver from a server to a client device to improve use convenience. Through the embedded download server and the technique of Universal Plug and Play (UPnP), the client device can directly download the driver from the embedded download server through a wire or wireless communication mode, and directly download the transport software between the client device and the projector to eliminate the inconvenience of pre-installing the transport software and the driver before using the wireless projector. In addition, administrators can directly update the firmware and software of the projector to improve management.

  • Publication number: 20060044530
Abstract: A method for simplifying on-screen displays (OSD) suitable for display devices such as projectors is provided. The method mainly comprises the following steps: entering into an edit view from an advanced OSD; selecting one or more desired options; saving the selected options; and displaying a basic OSD based on the selected options. Wherein, both the advanced OSD and the basic OSD include a switch function for switching between each other. This method enables the user to find frequently used options easily, simplifies the operation procedures of the function keys, and still preserves all of the previously existing functions.
