    Abstract: A method of making a spanner comprises the steps of preparing a flat metal blank, forging and pressing a part of the metal blank to form a head and a shank whose width is smaller than a width of the head, pressing the head to form a first arch-shaped part, pressing a shank end of the shank to expand the shank end and then form a second arch-shaped part, and pressing the head and the shank end again to remove redundant scrap projecting from the first arch-shaped part and the second arch-shaped part and also punch finished holes in the head and the shank end respectively, thereby completing the finished spanner. Accordingly, the method reduces the waste of the material and the processing cost, decreases the use frequency of high-cost machines and promotes the processing efficiency by using the flat metal blank.

    Abstract: An ALI/ESME steering gateway bridges the nationwide ALI/ESME network notes (or PSAPs) with the GMLC/MPCs of various different XPC networks. The steering gateway provides a unified interface between the PSAP/ALI network and positioning centers (GMLC/MPC/VPCs). Using the steering gateway, an E911 service provider accesses positioning centers (GMLC/MPC/VPC) of any XPC network. This access by the ALI to the positioning center is accomplished with any type of interface, irregardless of the protocol type. The connectivity of each virtual communication path between ALIs and PSAPs is managed. The ALI/ESME steering gateway also provides translation of the protocols between the two ALI-MPC interface sets (inbound and outbound). The ALI/ESME steering gateway also consolidates (or “de-duplicates”) any/all duplicated requests from a same ALI or PSAP for the same emergency call so that only one request is then sent to the destined positioning center within the relevant network.

    Abstract: A technique to allow a server such as a location server to throttle concurrent or closely timed location requests for the position of a given wireless device such that within a certain time period preferably only one location request will be initiated to the positioning engine and the remaining closely-timed location requests will be buffered or cached. When a position for the given wireless device is returned per the outstanding location request, then the retrieved position will be used to respond to each of the buffered location requests. Thus, a plurality of location requests are satisfied with a single request to the positioning engine. By optimizing the use of cached position requests, throttling of location requests per the invention reduces network traffic significantly, increases the efficiency of a positioning server (therefore reducing business cost), and provides for an improved grade or quality of location based services in general.

    Abstract: A structural topology optimization design method is provided. A structural topology optimization question is defined to determine at least one set of load and restriction condition and a parameter of lower limit of volume capacity related to a design space model. This model is divided into mesh grids for performing finite element analysis (FEA). Strain energy of each element after FEA is obtained according to the established load and restriction condition and used as a basis for calculating sensitivity of each element. A part of elements is removed or retained according to the degree of sensitivity of each element, and the structural profile and the total volume capacity and total strain energy of residual elements of the structural profile are recorded after each loop was completed. A display interface is used to sequentially show the structural profile and a relationship diagram of structural volume capacity vs structural strain energy.

    Abstract: A pre-deployed parachute includes a double-drag balloon parachute with an inflation canopy and a first drag generating space, a universal joint attached to the double-drag balloon parachute by a universal joint, a pre-deployed canopy with a second drag generating space and attached to the universal joint, a load attached to the pre-deployed canopy. The inflation of the inflation canopy allows the pre-deployed canopy to be deployed without requiring height difference and any dynamic energy. With the buoyancy and the first drag generated by the double-drag balloon parachute and the second drag generated by the pre-deployed canopy, the pre-deployed parachute is capable of producing three drag forces, and therefore, the pre-deployed parachute can be brought to a stable condition within a very short time, which prevents the discomfort feeling of a sudden free fall at the beginning stage of the parachuting.

The probe card is aligned to the wafer using the orientation value in an attempt to bring a first probe point into contact with a first alignment contact. The connectivity of the first probe point and the first alignment contact is evaluated. An electrical test of the wafer is performed utilizing the aligned probe card, and the historical offset correction is updated based on the orientation value.
