  • Publication number: 20180160457
Abstract: A wireless pairing system includes a signal receiver, a signal transmitter and a host device. The signal receiver includes a first wired connection port and a first wireless connection port. The signal transmitter includes a second wired connection port and a second wireless connection port. The host device is connected with the first wired connection port of the signal receiver and the second wired connection port of the signal transmitter. After a wired connection between the signal receiver and the host device and a wired connection between the signal transmitter and the host device are established, the signal receiver and the signal transmitter are paired with each other through the host device. Consequently, a wireless communication between the first wireless connection port and the second wireless connection port is enabled.

  • Publication number: 20170024027
Abstract: An input device includes an input interface, a near field communication unit and a controlling unit. The near field communication unit receives a device setting information from a portable electronic device. Consequently, the controlling unit reads the device setting information and performs an input setting task corresponding to the device setting information. When the user operates the input interface, a personalized operating signal corresponding to the device setting information is transmitted from the input interface to a computer host that is connected with the input device. Consequently, the computer host performs a corresponding operation. Under this circumstance, it is not necessary to install a corresponding driver in the computer host.

  • Patent number: 7738451
Abstract: A method and device for flexible, dynamic and optimal buffering in a networking system are provided. Sizes of incoming packets are recognized and the packets are buffered into buffers of appropriate sizes. Usage times of buffers are counted, and during an idle state of the networking system, buffer number and descriptor number are re-calculated based on usage times. Then, buffers and descriptors are re-allocated based on the re-calculated number. By re-allocation, buffer sets with higher usage times are allocated with more buffers, and vice versa, so memory waste is lowered and the overall performance of the networking system is improved.

  • Publication number: 20070242045
Abstract: A roller function switching method is used between a mouse device and a computer system operated with a browser program. Firstly, the computer system is operated in a roller function switching mode. Then, the computer system controls the browser program to change a browsing page in response to a directional rolling signal generated by rotating the roller of the mouse device in a first function state. Afterward, the computer system controls the browser program to scroll the browsing page in response to the directional rolling signal generated by rotating the roller of the mouse device in a second function state. The roller function is switched between the first function state and the second function state in response to a function state switching signal generated by the operation of the mouse device.

  • Publication number: 20060277335
Abstract: A peripheral device includes a housing, a first-type connector, a micro-controller and an adapter. The first-type connector includes first and second groups of pins. The micro-controller is electrically connected to the first and second groups of pins. When the second group of pins is detected to be in a first operating state, a first signal transmission is performed to communicate with the computer system via the first group of pins. The adapter has a first terminal electrically connectable to the first-type connector and a second terminal serving as a second-type connector. The second group of pins is detected to be in a second operating state when the first terminal of the adapter is electrically connected to the first and second groups of pins such that the micro-controller performs a second signal transmission to communicate with the computer system via the first group of pins and the second-type connector.

  • Publication number: 20050289254
Abstract: A dynamic allocation method for DMA buffers. A DMA controller is directed to move data from an input/output (I/O) device to buffers linked in a buffer ring. Next, free buffers in the buffer ring are detected when the each buffer is full. At least one new buffer is then allocated to the buffer ring when the number of detected free buffers is less than a first threshold value. Further, at least one buffer is released from the buffer ring when the number of detected free buffers exceeds a second threshold value, wherein the second threshold value exceeds the first threshold value, and the free buffers are all buffers in the buffer ring excluding those with data moved thereto by the DMA controller not yet processed by the CPU.
