  • Patent number: 8339524
Abstract: A projection system and an expansion module adapted to a projector are provided. The projection system includes a projector and an expansion module. The expansion module includes a housing, a logic circuit, and an output port. The logic circuit is disposed in the housing to control an operation of the expansion module. The output port is disposed in the housing and coupled to the logic circuit. The output port is connected to an input port of the projector and outputs a data stream to the input port, such that the projector generates an image and projects the image according to the data stream.

  • Patent number: 8159618
Abstract: A method for searching a signal source suitable for a multimedia apparatus with multiple signal terminals is disclosed. The method provides an ordered search list of the signal terminals to save the search sequence of the signal terminals. The multimedia apparatus sequentially detects the signal terminals according to the ordered search list of the signal terminals to identify whether an input signal is available. When a specific signal terminal of the signal terminals is found to have an input signal, the sequence of the specific signal terminal in the ordered search list of the signal terminals is set as the first sequence position.

  • Patent number: 8030854
Abstract: Waveform management systems and methods for ballasts are provided. The system includes a lamp, a ballast, a first interface, a storage unit, and a processing unit. The processing unit obtains at least one first waveform from the storage unit, and writes the first waveform to the ballast via the first interface. The processing unit transmits an illumination signal to the ballast via the first interface, such that the ballast controls the illumination of the lamp according to the first waveform.

  • Publication number: 20090279054
Abstract: A maintenance system for a ballast is applied to a projector. The projector includes a housing. The maintenance system for the ballast includes an input/output interface and a ballast. The input/output interface is disposed on the housing, and has a first transmitting terminal, a first receiving terminal and an input/output connection port. The first transmitting terminal and the first receiving terminal are electrically connected to the input/output connection port. The input/output connection port is uncovered by the housing. The ballast is disposed inside the housing, and has a second transmitting terminal and a second receiving terminal. The second transmitting terminal is electrically connected to the first receiving terminal of the input/output interface, and the second receiving terminal is electrically connected to the first transmitting terminal of the input/output interface.

  • Publication number: 20090251667
Abstract: A color adjusting method is applied to a projector. The projector has a light emitting element and a color wheel. The light emitting element supplies light, and makes the light pass through the color wheel so as to generate a plurality of different color lights. These different color lights are used to form a color image. The color adjusting method includes the steps of providing a plurality of driving waveforms which is dynamically switched for driving the light emitting element; defining a major color light of the color image, which is selected from the different color lights; and switching to one of these driving waveforms when the major color light is generated by the light passing through the color wheel. Thus, the light energy of the major color light is enhanced by means of driving the light emitting element through the switched driving waveform.
