The data units have respective sequence numbers. Further, the method includes reordering at a protocol layer in a protocol stack, the data units for a next process according to the sequence numbers, determining a dependency relationship of a data unit to one or more missing data units that have sequence numbers prior to the data unit, and advancing, out of order of the sequence numbers, the data unit to the next process when the data unit is independent of the one or more missing data units.

The communication apparatus comprises a decoder and a processing unit. The decoder decodes an MAP message, which is related to the allocated transmitting burst, into a plurality of parameters. The processing unit assigns a plurality of burst regions in the frame according to the parameters and decides a transmitting region according to the burst regions.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for adjusting a system timer of a mobile station (MS) are disclosed, wherein a clock cycle time of the system timer is of a predetermined length. The method comprises the following steps: detecting a frame boundary of a frame from a base station (BS), the frame is with a frame length; adjusting an interrupt signal of the system timer from a predetermined time to a time related to the frame; and adjusting the clock cycle time from the predetermined length to the frame length. The modified system timer of the MS is synchronized to a frame timing of the BS.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method used by an Authenticator of a wireless LAN. The Authenticator is capable of communicating wirelessly with a Supplicant of the wireless LAN. The Authenticator holds a plurality of candidate keys whereas the Supplicant holds one key. The key held by the Supplicant is included in the plurality of candidate keys held by the Authenticator. The method includes determining which one of the plurality of candidate keys is the key held by the Supplicant and communicating with the Supplicant wirelessly according to the determined key held by the Supplicant.
