  • Publication number: 20080057237
Abstract: A heat-shrinkable PET film comprises a thermally stretched film body exhibiting shape-memory characteristics and made from a PET material of a modified PET composition that includes terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, and a modifier selected from 1,3-dihydroxy-2-methylpropane, 1,3-dihydroxy-2-methylpropane alkoxylate, 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-hexanediol, and combinations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20080058488
Abstract: A PET material of a modified PET composition includes: terephthalic acid; ethylene glycol; a modifier; and a chain branching agent selected from one of a non-cyclic compound and a cyclic compound. The non-cyclic compound has at least three functional groups, and the cyclic compound, after ring opening, has at least three functional groups. Each of the functional groups of each of the non-cyclic compound and the cyclic compound is selected from hydroxyl group, carboxyl group, amine group, epoxy group, NCO, and COOR, in which R represents a C1-C18 alkyl group.

  • Publication number: 20070282078
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for synthesizing an aryl N-acylurea in both high selectivity and high yield, comprising reacting an aryl carbodiimide with a carboxylic acid under mild conditions. Thermolysis of N-acylureas at above about 120° C. gives amides and isocyanates, and the latter will undergo the repetitive reaction sequences in the presence of a carbodiimide catalyst. Based on this unique model, a sequential self-repetitive reaction (SSRR) is also developed in a versatile manner for converting aryl carbodiimides into amides, polyamides, polyamide-imides and polyamide-imide elastomers.

  • Patent number: 7233362
Abstract: A method of transforming output formats of video data without degrading display quality. Video data include a plurality of first display data corresponding to a plurality of first odd fields and a plurality of second display data corresponding to a plurality of first even fields. The first display data and the second display data are interlaced to form a plurality of first frames corresponding to a first resolution. The method includes deinterlacing the first and second display data to generate a plurality of third display data, adjusting the third display data for making the third display data correspond to a second resolution, and extracting a plurality of fourth display data corresponding to a plurality of second odd fields and a plurality of fifth display data corresponding to a plurality of second even fields from the third display data.
    Type: Grant
