In certain embodiments, the device for testing a biological specimen includes a receiving mechanism to receive a carrier, a camera module arranged to capture imagery of the carrier, and a processor. Some examples of the processor can detect a calibration mode trigger. In calibration mode, the processor can divide the captured imagery into segments and selectively perform one or more calibration procedures for each segment. Then, the processor records a calibration result for each segment.

The display apparatus alternately displays left and right eye images according to an update frequency. The transmitter module detects the update frequency and provides the radio frequency signal to the shutter glasses when detecting that the update frequency has changed, wherein the radio frequency signal includes the changed update frequency.

    Abstract: An illuminated electronic display sign suitable for a transit vehicle comprises a support frame with a mounting surface, a plurality of lighting elements disposed on or attached to the mounting surface, and electronic circuitry configured to provide commands to selectively illuminate the lighting elements so as to create text or other information thereon. The lighting elements each comprise a semiconductor-based light source and an optical cap, each having a transparent layer portion and a diffusion layer portion. The optical caps may be generally rectangular in shape, aligned in a two-dimensional grid having rows and columns and are substantially adjacent to one another, with narrow gaps therebetween for increased display area. The optical caps may be asymmetrical, with a flat upper portion and a gradually tapering top surface to help reduce glare. A control system including wireless circuitry may be used to control multiple electronic display signs.

When the display mode is a normal mode, the first active polarizer has no polarization, and the second active polarizer has the second active polarizer being perpendicular to the third polarization direction. When the display mode is a safe mode, the second active polarizer has no polarization, and the first active polarizer has the first active polarizer being perpendicular to the third polarization direction.

When a light passes through the turned-on panel, a penetrating light is generated. The wireless signal is provided by the testing device.
