    Abstract: A transflective liquid crystal display panel having a single gap is provided. The liquid crystal display panel has a first substrate, a second substrate substantially corresponding to the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed therebetween. The first substrate includes a plurality of pixel regions, and each pixel region has at least one reflection region covered with a reflective electrode and at least one transmission region. When voltage is not applied, the liquid crystal layer in the transmission regions and in the reflection regions has a phase difference of half wavelength, and when a voltage is applied, the liquid crystal layer in the transmission regions has no phase difference, and the liquid crystal layer in the reflection regions has a phase difference of quarter wavelength.

The transmissive electrode is associated with a first charge storage capacitance.     Abstract: In a transflective liquid crystal display comprising a plurality of pixels, each is divided into three color sub-pixels in red, green and blue. Each of the color sub-pixels is further divided into a main sub-pixel and an auxiliary sub-pixel. The main sub-pixel comprises a transflective area and a reflective area. The auxiliary sub-pixel can be entirely transmissive, reflective or partially transmissive and reflective. The liquid crystal display further comprises a plurality of first gate lines for electrically controlling the main sub-pixels and a plurality of second gate lines for electrically controlling the auxiliary sub-pixels. The auxiliary sub-pixels may have a color filter for partially filtering light encountering the auxiliary sub-pixels according to the color of the color sub-pixels.

    Abstract: In a transflective liquid crystal display having a transmission area and the reflection area, the transmissive electrode is connected to a switching element to control the liquid crystal layer in the transmission area, and the reflective electrode is connected to the switching element via a separate capacitor to control the liquid crystal layer in the reflection area. The separate capacitor is used to shift the reflectance in the reflection area toward a higher voltage end in order to avoid the reflectance inversion problem. In addition, an adjustment capacitor is connected between the reflective electrode and a different common line. The adjustment capacitor is used to reduce or eliminate the discrepancy between the gamma curve associated with the transmittance and the gamma curve associated with the reflectance.

The switch element is formed under an electrode of one of the areas, and comprises a source connected to the pixel electrode, a drain connected to the data line, and a gate\ connected to the scan line.     Abstract: A method of fabricating a circuit board structure with concave conductive cylinders is provided. Firstly, a conductive layer is provided and a dielectric layer is formed on a surface of the conductive layer. Next, a plurality of vias is formed in the dielectric layer, where the vias are exposed on the surface of the conductive layer. A conductive material is then filled in the vias to form a plurality of conductive cylinders on the surface of the conductive layer, so that the tips of the conductive cylinders are exposed on a surface of the dielectric layer relatively far away from the conductive layer. The exposed tips of the conductive cylinders are removed, so that the height of the conductive cylinders is lower than the dielectric layer and the conductive cylinders sunk into the dielectric layer.
