Patent number: 9637451Abstract: [Problem] To provide a compound useful as a MT1 and/or MT2 receptor agonist. [Solution] The present inventors have studied on MT1 and/or MT2 receptor agonists, and have confirmed that indole compounds have the activity. As a result, the present invention is accomplished. That is, a compound represented by formula (I) or a salt thereof according to the present invention has a MT1 and/or MT2 receptor agonistic activity and has a low ability of migrating into central nervous system. Therefore, the compound or a salt thereof can be used as a peripheral MT1 and/or MT2 receptor agonist, and therefore can be used as a therapeutic and/or prophylactic agent for urinary incontinence, particularly stress urinary incontinence and mixed urinary incontinence.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2015Date of Patent: May 2, 2017Inventors: Shunichiro Matsumoto, Takafumi Shimizu, Tomoyuki Saito, Takatoshi Kanayama, Hiroaki Tanaka, Chiharu Mori, Kazuhiro Yokoyama, Shigeo Matsui

Patent number: 7112739Abstract: An electronic percussion instrument modifies the effect applied to note generated in response to a strike based on the intensity of the strike. A plurality of patches are stored in the waveform memory. Each patch includes settings for the effects applied to each pad of the instrument. The patch also includes a setting indicating whether the parameters of the effects applied to the pads are to be modified in accordance with strike intensity. Subsequently, during performance, when a strike is detected the intensity of the strike is used to determine whether the parameters of the effect applied to the note are to be modified, and if so the parameters are modified in correspondence to the intensity of the strike. This allows the performer to easily modify the effect applied to the notes of the percussion instrument during performance.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 2004Date of Patent: September 26, 2006Assignee: Roland CorporatonInventors: Chiharu Mori, Kazuaki Inoue

Patent number: 7078610Abstract: An electronic percussion instrument samples an input waveform. An unused waveform number may be automatically assigned to the sampled waveform upon sampling or when a user-specified waveform number is already in use for another waveform. Musical time parameters for the input waveform may be specified in advance of sampling, and an endpoint for the sampled waveform may be automatically set in response to a stop sampling command so that length of the waveform is a whole number of musical time units such as bars or beats. The endpoint of the sampled waveform may be set to the beginning or the end of the musical time unit during which the stop command is received, depending on the time at which the stop command is received. The sampled waveform may be edited by manually moving the starting point by a specified amount and automatically moving the end point by a corresponding amount, by changing the specified tempo of the waveform, or by specifying a different number of musical time units.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 2004Date of Patent: July 18, 2006Assignee: Roland CorporationInventors: Chiharu Mori, Kazuaki Inoue

Patent number: 5021768Abstract: A detector detects the variation of resistance between fingers of a human's hands which varies in response to his mental condition. When the mental condition is varied and the resistance between fingers is changed, the detector detects such resistance variation, which is then converted into an electric signal. This electric signal drive light emitting diodes (LEDs) or the like so that the user of this detector can realize his mental condition by watching the light. By further providing a lamp, an image film and a lens, the user can watch the image on the image film when light radiated from the lamp projects such image onto the lens. This detector is useful for meditation and mental training because the user can realize the variation of his mental condition by watching the light or image.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 1989Date of Patent: June 4, 1991Assignee: ITO Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshio Kishida, Chiharu Mori

Patent number: 4067023Abstract: A shutter speed digital display device for cameras equipped with both automatic and manual shutter speed controls is disclosed. A shutter speed display control circuit generates a first digital signal in accordance with the adjustment of the camera's shutter speed by an automatic shutter speed control circuit. The first digital signal is decoded and used to control a light-transmitting liquid crystal device display. In addition, when the camera is in a manual mode of operation, the first digital signal is compared with a second digital signal related to manually adjusted shutter speed. If the comparisons are equal, a coincidence indicator is energized.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 1975Date of Patent: January 3, 1978Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Naoyuki Uno, Tetsuji Shono, Fumio Urano, Kunio Mita, Masahiro Kawasaki, Chiharu Mori

Patent number: 3990086Abstract: A shutter control circuit for a camera including a timing circuit for measuring the exposure time during which the shutter will remain open. The shutter control circuit further includes a switching circuit having a switching transistor with a collector, coupled to the timing circuit, an emitter and a base. A first constant voltage source is connected to the emitter of the switching transistor. A manual exposure control circuit includes an emitter follower circuit with a transistor complementary to the switching transistor. A second constant voltage source is also included in the manual exposure control circuit and is coupled to the emitter follower circuit. The voltage level of the second constant voltage source is capable of being manually set in accordance with the desired shutter time. The output of the emitter follower circuit is coupled to the base of the switching transistor.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 1974Date of Patent: November 2, 1976Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Chiharu Mori, Masahiro Kawasaki

Patent number: 3952318Abstract: An electrical system to be used in a camera for controlling exposure time. The electrical system includes a pair of substantially identical constant voltage sources respectively having inputs connected together. A buffer circuit is coupled between an interconnection of these inputs and the collector of a compression transistor to which a photosensitive means is connected and whose base is coupled to one of the constant voltage sources. A timing circuit is coupled to an expansion transistor, whose base is coupled to the other of the constant voltage sources.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 1974Date of Patent: April 20, 1976Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Chiharu Mori, Masahiro Kawasaki, Hirokazu Ando
