  • Patent number: 8472064
Abstract: The present invention provides a print module, an information processing device, a print system, a print unit, an ink supply unit, a print method and program, all capable of quickly and easily meeting demands for a print medium size change, particularly to increased sizes, while at the same time coping with demands for faster printing speed. To this end, this invention constructs the print heads (811) in the form of print modules (M) so that their ink systems and signal systems are independent among the print modules. Each print module is set with identity information for its identification.

  • Patent number: 8146815
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a bar code generator which improves a print quality of a bar code and further enhances reading precision thereof, as to both vertical and horizontal bar codes. In this bar code generator, bar width information is set independently for each of the vertical and horizontal bar codes, as a precondition for printing the vertical and horizontal bar codes, selectively. When the bar code is printed (S802), it is determined whether the bar code is vertical or horizontal (S803), and according to the result of the determination, the bar width information of the determined bar code orientation is read out for drawing an image of the bar code (S804, S805, and S806). The result being drawn is transmitted to the printer, and the bar code is printed.

  • Publication number: 20090033989
Abstract: An image forming system generates print data according to a predetermined layout based on a database (401) in which a plurality of data records are stored and based on images associated with respective data records wherein the print data includes the image data. The database stores a keyword, which identifies image data corresponding to each of the plurality of data records, as one data item. When the plurality of data records of the database are printed, the image data corresponding to the keyword of each data record is searched for and read from a storage unit in which the image data is stored and the print data is generated according to the predetermined layout. When print data that includes image data is generated, this configuration of the image forming system allows the user to generate print data without giving a heavy load on the user even when image data is moved.

  • Publication number: 20080259391
Abstract: Recording data generated by a recording data generation PC (100) is divided by recording data sending PCs (110, 120) and is sent to corresponding recording devices (210, 220). The recording devices (210, 220) record the received divided recording data on a common recording medium (130). If a recording error has occurred on one of the recording devices, the error is notified to the recording data generation PC via the recording data sending PC and recording stop instructions are issued from the recording data generation PC to all recording devices. When the recording stop instruction is received, each recording device sends the recording page number at that time to the recording data generation PC. The recording data generation PC determines a desired recording page number from the recording page numbers acquired from the recording devices, acquires the recording data from a recording database, converts the acquired recording data to display data, and displays it on a display device.

  • Publication number: 20080174824
Abstract: When a plurality of sets of data items are stored in corresponding frames on respective pages for printing, a data processing device confirms the size of each frame and, for each page, confirms the size of data to be stored in each frame. In addition, a check is made if data of each of the plurality of data items overflows the corresponding frame. If an overflow is detected, a predetermined warning message is issued before performing a printing. When print data stored in a database is processed, one print page at a time, the processing described above allows a user identify a frame overflow of print data on any page before printing.

  • Publication number: 20060216093
Abstract: In forming an image by using a plurality of printing apparatuses, one print data generation apparatus is connected with a plurality of print data transmission apparatuses to reliably communicate print data between these apparatuses. For that purpose, a plurality of shared work areas are used each of which is shared by a print data generation PC (101) and a plurality of print data transmission PCs (103, 104). The print data generation PC (101) outputs a plurality of pieces of print data to the plurality of corresponding shared work areas. The plurality of print data transmission PCs (103, 104) transmit the print data in each of the shared work areas to the corresponding printing apparatus (105, 106).
