  • Patent number: 4682077
Abstract: A camera tube device for use in a television camera comprises an electron gun including a cathode electrode for emission of an electron beam, and first and second grid electrodes respectively having apertures for controlling the diameter of the electron beam. The aperture of the second grid electrode is sufficiently smaller than the aperture of the first grid electrode. The first grid electrode is applied with a positive voltage relative to the cathode electrode and the second grid electrode is applied with a positive voltage relative to the cathode electrode which is higher than that applied to the first grid electrode. The positive voltage applied to the first grid electrode has such a value that forms the electron beam having passed through the aperture of the first grid electrode into a laminar flow beam.

  • Patent number: 4540916
Abstract: An electron gun for a television camera tube comprises a cathode for emission of electrons, a first grid disposed subsequently to the cathode and having a first aperture supplied with a positive voltage relative to the cathode, a second grid disposed subsequently to the first grid and having a second aperture supplied with a higher positive voltage than that supplied to the first grid, and an intermediate grid interposed between the first and second grids and having a hole. The intermediate grid forms a divergent electron lens near the first aperture between the first and second grids.

  • Patent number: 4492981
Abstract: A TV camera tube suitable for the HN system comprising a glass faceplate covered by an n-type transparent electrode layer consisting of Nesa glass on which a thin p.sup.+ -type layer, a p-type layer and an n-type layer are deposited in succession to form a photoconductive layer. A blocking layer is deposited on the photoconductive layer to form a protected photoconductive target. A metal mesh covered by an insulating material and a collector electrode for collecting secondary electrons emitted from the target are arranged on the electron beam scanning side of the target.

  • Patent number: 4467243
Abstract: An electron gun is disclosed which includes a thermionic cathode for emitting an electron beam, a grid having a first aperture for controlling the diameter of the electron beam, and an anode having a second aperture for catching a part of the electron beam having passed through the first aperture; and in which the diameter of the first aperture is smaller than or equal to the diameter of the second aperture, and the grid and the anode are applied with positive potentials relative to a cathode potential, for example, with a voltage of 5 to tens of volts and a voltage of 100 to 500 volts, respectively, to form a uniform axial field between the grid and the anode, thereby generating a laminar flow electron beam having a constant current density.

  • Patent number: 4392452
Abstract: In a vacuum container an active (or atomic state) gas consisting of either one of active hydrogen, active oxygen and active nitrogen with a partial pressure of 1.times.10.sup.-3 Torr or less is produced. In an atmosphere of the active (or atomic state) gas, a film, which consists of a compound presenting semiconductor characteristics (CdS, CdSe, ZnSe, ZnS, ZnTe, CdTe) or a solid solution thereof and presents a desired polarity property such as p, n, p.sup.+ or n.sup.+, is vapor-deposited on a substrate at a desired position with a desired thickness, so as to fabricate an evaporation device which is preferable, for example, as a photoconductive target for a television camera tube.

  • Patent number: 4031551
Abstract: This specification discloses an improvement in an image pickup device incorporating therein an optical system which reduces the delay of the photoelectric signal by separately adding bias light to the light from an object. The improvement is characterized in that the bias light is introduced through that portion of the face plate which makes no contribution to image pickup.
