  • Patent number: 9289367
Abstract: The affinity of collagen for the skin and its persistence on the skin are improved without destroying the triple helical structure inherent in collagen to thereby improve its ability to retain the moisture of the skin and increase the amount of bound water when such collagen is used as a skin cosmetic. The collagen can thereby exert its moisture retention effect more effectively. A cosmetic base includes an aqueous solution of a liposome that is surface-modified with water-soluble collagen having a triple helical structure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 16, 2010
Date of Patent: March 22, 2016
    Assignee: Faith, Inc.
Inventors: Tsuyoshi Kojima, Shinichi Kojima, Hiroyuki Yoshikawa, Tomomi Kazumori, Teruhisa Kaneko, Chihiro Kaise

  • Publication number: 20080051369
Abstract: [Object] To provide a cosmetic material having a superior moisture evaporation suppression ability and a high absorbed water volume. [Solving Means] A cosmetic material contains sphingomyelin, and hence a high moisture evaporation suppression ability and a high absorbed water volume can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20040099976
Abstract: A method for producing liposome encapsulating a desired substance is provided. The method is characteristic in that an aqueous phase containing the substance to be encapsulated is added to a homogenous fluid mixture of a phospholipid or a glycolipid and carbon dioxide either under a supercritical condition or under a condition in which temperature or pressure is higher than or equal to its critical point. This method makes it possible to produce liposomes with improved trapping efficiency in fewer steps and without using harmful organic solvents.
