  • Publication number: 20070007266
Abstract: Onto a surface of a cylindrical core body 1 made of synthetic resin, is adhered a heater unit 2 which is formed by adhering, with an adhesive agent, an electric resistance member 4 made of a SUS foil on an inner surface of a flexible electrically insulating plate 3 made of synthetic resin. The electric resistance member 4 is formed by half-punching the SUS foil uniformly applied on the electrically insulating plate into a given configuration and removing an unnecessary portion. The electric resistance member 4 has a small width, a large length and a zigzag shape to increase electric resistance. Both ends of the electric resistance member constitute connecting portions for an electric power supply wire 5 and are arranged side by side at one end of the electrically insulating plate.

  • Patent number: 5651694
Abstract: A flat cable including a plurality of conductor strips which are formed by punching a single metal foil and are embedded within an insulating sheet, in which at an end portion of the flat cable, bifurcated portions are folded back one on another such that end terminals of conductor strips of one bifurcated portion are inserted between end terminals of conductor strips of another bifurcated portion, so that an order in which end terminals of the conductor strips are aligned can be changed. Therefore, an electric connection between connectors requiring crossings of conductor strips can be established by a single flat cable.

  • Patent number: 5335016
Abstract: An apparatus for compressing and coding the image data for each block wherein the image data is first divided into a plurality of image data of the blocks and then the image data of the block is subjected to orthogonal transformation, quantization, and variable length coding. Before the actual coding process, a statistical process is performed to obtain the amount of code data for the respective blocks, an optimum quantization step coefficient for the orthogonal transformation coefficients of the AC components based on the amount of code data for the block and the reference amount of code data, and the amount of code data of the orthogonal transformation coefficients of the AC components for the block. In the actual coding process, the provisional quantization step is used for quantizing the orthogonal transformation coefficients of the DC component and the optimum quantization step is used for quantizing the orthogonal transformation coefficients of the AC component.

  • Patent number: 5291282
Abstract: An image data coding apparatus includes a preprocessing unit for executing preprocessing including compression for input image data in units of screens to generate a preprocessed output. A quantizing unit quantizes the preprocessed output with a predetermined quantization width to generate a quantized output. A variable-length coding unit executes variable-length coding for the quantized output. A target-amount-of-codes output unit outputs information concerning a target amount of codes corresponding to one screen. A quantization width predicting unit predicts a suitable quantization width on the basis of the information from the variable-length coding unit to supply information concerning the predicted quantization width to the quantizing unit. The quantizing unit quantizes the preprocessed output generated by the preprocessing unit with the predicted quantization width included in the information from the quantization width predicting unit.

  • Patent number: 5073820
Abstract: An image data coding apparatus performs first and second coding processes. A controller outputs first and second control signals. An orthogonal transform circuit performs orthogonal transform on image data of one screen and generates an transformed output. A quantizing circuit quantizes the transformed output with a predetermined temporary first quantization width upon reception of the first control signal and generates a first quantized output, and quantizes the transformed output with an optimal second quantization width upon reception of the second control signal and generates a second quantized output. An entropy coding circuit codes the first quantized output and generates a first coded output, and codes the second quantized output and generates a second coded output. An amount-of-codes calculator calculates the amount of codes of the first coded output for each block and calculates the amount of codes of one screen based on the amount of codes for each block.
