The comparator generates a comparison voltage by comparing a reference voltage with a feedback voltage. The output voltage generator generates an output voltage by using a power supply voltage, based on the comparison voltage. The voltage divider may include a first resistor and a second resistor, which generate the feedback voltage by dividing the output voltage. The output voltage controller adjusts a resistance value of at least one of the first resistor and the second resistor, based on a result of comparing the output voltage with a target voltage.

    Abstract: A collated strip of fasteners for use in a powered nail gun. Each fastener has a head and an elongated shank extending outwardly therefrom and the plurality of fasteners are disposed aligned one with the other. At least two wire members are secured to the shanks of the aligned plurality of fasteners so as to form a strip of connected fasteners. A first wire member is secured to a first side of each of the shanks and a second wire member is secured to a second and opposite side of each of the shanks. The first and second wire members are spaced a distance apart from each other so that a stable strip of fasteners is formed. A third wire member may also be secured to the first side of the shanks a spaced distance from the first wire member. In this instance, the second wire member is secured to the second and opposite side of the shanks in a position intermediate the first and third wire members.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for collating nails wherein round head nails are fed by gravity along an inclined rail to a periphery of a rotating indexing and feed wheel. The nails are deposited into circumferentially spaced grooves formed in the periphery of the feed wheel in a vertical orientation. The feed wheel is inclined at an angle of approximately 45° and upon 180° rotation of the feed wheel the nails assume a horizontal orientation. A conveyor has a plurality of spaced segments attached to a pair of moving belts. Each segment is formed with spaced notches for receiving the nails in a horizontal spaced relationship from the feed wheel and then transporting the horizontally spaced nails to a collator for forming into a continuous strip. Rotation of the feed wheel is synchronized with movement of the conveyor by a motor, a gear train and drive shafts extending between the feed wheel and conveyor.
