  • Publication number: 20110210988
Abstract: In a liquid crystal display device, both of the brightness characteristic and the chromaticity characteristic are set to optimum values. In the liquid crystal display device which includes a liquid crystal display panel, a data driver, a scanning driver and a display control circuit, the display control circuit includes a first circuit which generates insertion display data which differs from the image display data and inserts the display data into the data driver, and a second circuit which sets a first time at which the scanning signal for displaying the display data and a second time at which the scanning signal for displaying the insertion display data are outputted. The first circuit generates display data of one chromatic color and, at the same time, sets gradations of chromatic color for every frame period.

  • Publication number: 20070029924
Abstract: An image display device according to the present invention comprises a back panel on which a plurality of pixels each having a thin film electron emitter are arranged two-dimensionally, a front panel disposed opposite the back panel on which phosphor layer is formed, and a sealing frame with which the back panel and the front panel are fixed mutually to seal the plurality of pixels and the phosphor layer in a space enclosed by the back panel, the front panel, and the sealing frame, and is characterized in that double-layered signal lines each electrically connected to a group of the plurality of pixels are formed on the back panel, each of the double-layered signal lines consists of a lower-level electrode made from a silver paste and an upper-level electrode covering at least a part of the lower-level electrode laminated in this order on the back panel. The lower-level electrode is shaped e.g.

  • Publication number: 20060214558
Abstract: The present invention provides a high-quality image display device which allows scanning line electrodes to exhibit a uniform film thickness and the uniform low resistance over a whole length thereof thus suppressing local resistance irregularities and broken steps of the scanning line electrodes. The present invention provides the stacked structure which is constituted of scanning line lower electrodes which are embedded in grooves formed in a main surface of an insulating substrate which constitutes a first substrate, a first insulating layer, signal line electrodes, a second insulating layer, a third insulating layer, and scanning line upper electrodes. Electron sources are constituted of the signal line electrodes, the second insulating layer and the scanning line upper electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20060192492
Abstract: In a display panel each of whose pixels has an electron emission element equipped with a pair of electrodes and an insulation area isolating these electrodes, the present invention specifies that the power supply line (scan line) connected with one of the pair of electrodes shall be formed thicker than the other electrode by screen printing using silver (Ag) paste or the like, and the power supply line and the one of the electrodes shall be connected together through an intermediary of the auxiliary electrode formed thinner than the power supply line, whereby a resistance of the power supply line is decreased, a voltage drop in the one electrode is controlled, and reliability of electrical connection between the power supply line and the one electrode is heightened.

  • Publication number: 20050099573
Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device which can sufficiently reduce coloring even in an intermediate gray scale display, not to mention, coloring in a white display state. Pixel regions are formed between respective substrates with liquid crystal filled therebetween, a projection pattern or a groove pattern which divides each pixel region into a plurality of domains is formed parallel to liquid-crystal-side surfaces of the respective substrates, and the inclination of the projection pattern or the groove pattern differs among red pixels, green pixels and blue pixels.
