Abstract: An apparatus in which the posture of a seat for vehicles is controlled in accordance with the output from a mode selecting circuit in response to the operation of a manually operated switch composed of a mode select switch and increasing/decreasing switches, and the posture controlling direction is announced by means of displaying means. By contrast, in the second embodiment as illustrated in FIG. 2, the input to the LCD controlling circuit 260 and to the voice synthesizer 210' is dependent only upon the control mode selected by the switch 13. Thus, only the selected control mode is displayed in the audio and visual ways. Of course, the invention includes all such variations and modifications of combinations of the features disclosed for both embodiments. Such announcement is made visually and audiometrically. The mode selecting circuit supplies a signal representing the posture controlling direction to an announcing device by operation of the increasing/decreasing switches.

Abstract: A seat attitude control apparatus for adjusting a seat with respect to forward/backward position, reclining angle and others so that the attitudes of the seat appropriate to the figures of a plurality of specified occupants can be realized individually and separately. Seat attitude data thus obtained are registered in a microcomputer so as to be utilized for controlling the seat attitude appropriate to the actual occupant as specified, as occasion requires. The seat attitude data is erasble and fresh seat attitude data can be registered for another occupant. The seat attitude control is performed with the aid of one memory switch and four control switches disposed in an array convenient for manipulation.

Abstract: An apparatus for controlling air pressure of an onboard air support system of a vehicle comprising a pump connected to the air support for supplying or discharging the air to or from the air support, a pressure sensor in association with the air support for detecting the pressure thereof, a memory for storing present pressure values for the air support, a controller for generating pump operation control data on the basis of data derived from the detection output of the pressure sensor and data of the preset pressure value stored in the memory means, and a timer for determining the period during which the pump is to be operated on the basis of control data available from the controller, and producing a control signal supplied to said pump.

Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a seat of vehicles comprising mode selecting means for cyclically switching the control modes with respect to the position and the posture of said seat, a displaying section for displaying said control mode in accordance with the output from said mode selecting means, a selecting switch connected to the input of said mode selecting means for switching said control mode, an increasing/decreasing switch for controlling the amount of control with respect to the posture of said seat, and a control section for controlling the vehicle's seat in accordance with the output signal from said mode selecting switch and the switching signal from said increasing/decreasing switch, wherein the number of switches may be reduced thereby reducing the space for providing the switches and making simple the switching operation.

Abstract: An apparatus for detecting the position of a seat in a vehicle and position of eye of a sitter on the seat to thereby select an optimal position of a headrest on the basis of the detected position data. A plurality of data representing the seat position and the sitter's eye position are stored in a memory means to be read out for allowing a control means to performs arithmetic operation on the data as read out. On the basis of the result of the arithmetic operation, the positions of the headrests for a plurality of sitters can be selectively determined on the basis of the positions of the seat.
