  • Patent number: 5638118
Abstract: An image sensing device comprises an image sensor for photoelectrically converting an image sensing light coming from an object into an image sensing signal and for storing signal charges and providing a readout signal. Control circuitry variably sets storage times of the image sensor and an image composer composes an image signal for one picture from a plurality of readout signals from the image sensor having different charge storage times.

  • Patent number: 5129725
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for optically detecting the position or amount of movement of a movable object, in which a plurality of position data element arrays are provided on a scale attached to the object such that the arrays are arranged in the direction of movement of the object. A string of light beam such as a laser beam, which extends in the same direction as the position data element array, is made to illuminate one of the arrays, and the light reflected by or transmitted through the position data element array is received by a sensor array such as CCD sensor which produces a signal representing the pattern of arrangement of the data elements in the illuminated position data element array and indicating absolute position of the object, whereby the instant absolute position of the object is detected.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4901148
Abstract: A data processing device having a memory which permits writing and reading of digital data and a digital-to-analog converter which converts digital data read out from the memory into an analog signal. The operating frequency of the converter obtained when the memory is solely performing data reading is arranged to be twice as high as the operating frequency of the converter obtained when the memory is performing both data writing and data reading.
