    Abstract: A video display unit such as a monitor of cathode-ray tubes has a mechanism in which its swivelling and tilting can be adjusted by a user. The display unit has a stable posture independently, when the display unit is separated from a stand including a truncated member having a partial spherical section downwardly protruded, the partial spherical section being located at the inner side of the opening of the bottom cover, and a socket for supporting the display unit while tilting and swivelling.
