  • Patent number: 7666883
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards the synthesis of novel and new chloropyridine skeleton based compounds and these are Bayllis Hillman adducts having a remarkable in vitro anti-malarial activity. These compounds have been found to possess anti-malarial activity against chloroquine sensitive and chloroquine resistant Plasmodium falciparum. The anti-malarial compounds of the present invention inhibit the mature schizonts in vitro.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 3, 2006
Date of Patent: February 23, 2010
Assignee: Council of Scientific and Industrial Research
