  • Patent number: 4744814
Abstract: N-[(4,6-Dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl]-3-trifluoromethylpyridine-2- sulfonamide or a salt thereof is disclosed. The compound of the invention is useful as a herbicide which has an extremely high herbicidal effect against a wide variety of weeds including strongly noxious weeds but which shows a high safety against tomato and turfs. A process for the production of N-[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl]-3-trifluoromethylpyridine-2 -sulfonamide is also disclosed.
