  • Patent number: 9418484
Abstract: A learning system with augmented reality is provided. The learning system includes a cloud server recording an operation history of a learner and providing feedback messages, and a mobile device having an image-capturing module capturing an image of a substantial object. Also, the learning system comprises an object database storing a simulated object corresponding to the substantial object, an identification module identifying the image and generating image information, and a processing module which receives and analyzes the image information, obtains the simulated object from the object database according to analyzing results, and displays the simulated object on a display interface of the mobile device. The learning system allows learner to operate simulated object operation instructions on the display interface or directly operate the substantial object to control a display status of the simulated object, and the operation history of learner is transmitted to the cloud server.

  • Publication number: 20090148484
Abstract: A stably-dispersed composite of metal nanoparticles and inorganic clay and a method for producing the composite, in which interlayered charges of the clay are replaced with the metal ions, which are then reduced to metal particles by a reducing agent. The metal particles will not aggregate together and can be stably uniformly dispersed with particle sizes smaller than conventional metal nanoparticles, and therefore have better antibiotic effect, catalytic ability and other advantages. Antibacterials in a solvent containing 0.01 wt % or more of the metal nanoparticles and inorganic clay are prepared and confirmed to be effective.

  • Patent number: 7022299
Abstract: The present invention discloses an exfoliative clay and a derivative thereof and a method for producing the same. The exfoliative clay is formed by emulsion exfoliating an inorganic layered silicate clay with an amphibious intercalating agent by powerfully stirring at 60–180° C. and not less than 14.7 psig. The amphibious intercalating agent is obtained by copolymerizing polyoxyalkylene amine having molecular weight over 1,800 and polypropylene-grafting-maleic anhydride (PP-g-MA). Before emulsion exfoliation, the intercalating agent is acidified with an inorganic acid. The acidification is the key step for obtaining nanoscale of emulsifying particles less than 100 nm for the exfoliation. The exfoliative clay can be further extracted with a hydroxide or a chloride of alkali metal or alkaline-earth metal to obtain a derivative in the form of nanosilica plates which is free of organic portions.
