    Abstract: An LED unit includes an LED having a first optical axis and a transparent envelope receiving the LED therein. The envelope is a cylinder inclined towards a lateral side. The envelope includes two concave surfaces respectively defined at a top and a bottom thereof, and a convex surface formed on the top thereof. The two concave surfaces have the same second optical axis and the convex surface has a third optical axis. The second and third optical axes are parallel to each other and angled with the first optical axis. The second and third optical axes are inclined towards the same lateral side as that the envelope is inclined toward. The two concave surfaces and the convex surface are all aspheric.

    Abstract: An LED unit includes an LED and an envelope receiving the LED therein. The envelope includes a bottom substrate fixing the LED thereon, a sidewall angling upwardly from the substrate and surrounding the LED, and a lens formed in the sidewall and located above the LED. The lens has two aspheric surfaces with different curvatures to collect light deflected at a small angle relative to an axis of the LED into a parallel pattern. The sidewall has upper and lower conical inner circumferences and a parabolic outer circumference to direct light deflected at a large angle relative to the axis of the LED into parallel pattern. The lower inner circumference of the sidewall has an angle of 2?/5 to 13?/30, and the upper inner circumference of the sidewall has an angle of 5?/36 to 7?/36.

    Abstract: An LED unit includes a reflector, an LED mounted in the reflector, and a lens detachably mounted within the reflector and covering the LED. The reflector includes a bottom plate in which the LED is received, an annular sidewall and a tapered sidewall interconnecting the annular sidewall and the bottom plate. The lens includes a disk and dome protruding upwardly from the disk. The reflector forms a pair of buckles at two opposite sides thereof to abut against the disk, thereby fixing the lens therein. A bottom face of the disk confronting the LED and a top face of the dome remote from the LED are all aspheric surfaces.

Light emitted from the LED modules travels through the bottom surface and the top surface of the lens to illuminate the environment. The bottom surface of the lens is concave and the top surface of the lens is bulgy. Curvatures of constituting portions of the bottom surface are larger than those of corresponding portions constituting the top surface.

A surface of refracting portion is provided as a non-spherical convex surface. An indent is formed on the center of the non-spherical convex surface. The light emitted from the LED package is directed toward lateral side, and the angular intensity distribution has an asymmetrical batwing shape, so as to obtain an illuminating apparatus with uniformly illumination.

The first electrode is electrically connected to the first type doped semiconductor layer. The second electrode is electrically connected to the second type doped semiconductor layer. The diamond-like carbon layer covers on the semiconductor layer and exposes at least a portion of the first electrode. Moreover, the exposed outer surface of the diamond-like carbon layer is a rough surface. Alternatively, other passivation layer with rough surface can be substituted for the diamond-like carbon layer.

The driving method is used for determining whether assisting the voice input/output communication unit to electrically connect with the Internet or not by the switch based on detecting a signal which contains an IP, a status result and a dial-tone result of the voice input/output communication unit.

Modulators are parallel to and positioned on the sides of the small prisms and a third side of one bigger prism. Such a system may be applied to a projector.
