  • Patent number: 7234082
Abstract: An apparatus of remote server console redirection is described. The apparatus provides multi-managers to control remote server computers simultaneously. The apparatus includes at least one monitoring computer and a console redirection proxy service server (CRPSS). The monitoring computer executes a browser program and assigns a remote server computer to be controlled. The CRPSS determines whether the assigned remote server computer is on monitoring. If the assigned remote server computer is on monitoring, the CRPSS directly sends display images of the assigned remote server computer to the monitoring computer. If the assigned remote server computer is not on monitoring, the CRPSS issues a console redirection command and a reboot command to the assigned remote server computer. Therefore, the display images of the assigned remote server computer are sent to the monitoring computer by way of the CRPSS.

  • Publication number: 20050198203
Abstract: A three-tier architecture is utilized for controlling a plurality of remote computers in both text mode and graphic mode. System Management Servers (SMS) are placed between browsers and the remote computers. Firstly, users select one remote computer via the browser. The browser communicates with the SMS, and then the SMS communicates with the selected remote computer via an out-of-band channel. Correspondingly, the selected remote computer redirects its text console data to the browser. IP address is also obtained via the three-tier architecture and then users utilize the browser to access a graphic server of the selected remote computer according to the IP address for controlling and monitoring the remote computer.

  • Patent number: 6362563
Abstract: A cathode for use in an electron gun includes a base metal comprising Ni as a principal component and a two-layer electron emissive material disposed on the base metal. The inner layer is comprised of an alkaline earth metal oxide and 1-30 wt. % W and may further include 0.1-5 wt. % of a rare earth metal oxide. The outer layer is comprised of an alkaline earth metal oxide and may further include 0.1-5 wt. % of a rare earth metal oxide. The outer electron emissive layer provides stability for the cathode. In the degassing and activation process, W and Ni react at high temperatures to form a Ni4W fine crystal structure. An intermediate layer, such as Ba2SiO4, is dispersed in the Ni4W fine crystal structure in operation. Free barium is produced in reactions between the various cathode components to provide a high current density for the cathode. The normalized electron emission current value of the cathode does not decrease with use, even over extended periods of operation.

  • Patent number: 5664624
Abstract: A sloped wall type heat radiating member for chip, which is tightly attached to the upper side of the chip on a chip base for increasing the heat radiating efficiency of the chip. Two sloped walls inclinedly upwardly project respectively from two opposite sides of the heat radiating member toward each other, whereby a heat radiating fan is firmly inserted between the slope walls without using any fastening element such as screws. Two resilient slidable latching boards are disposed respectively on two sides of the heat radiating member. The bottom end of each latching board is formed with at least one latching hole for latching a lug disposed on each side of the chip base. The latching board is further formed with a guide section, whereby when the latching board is depressed by a user, the guide section is inclinedly moved downwardly along the sloped wall of the heat radiating member, making the latching hole of the latching board automatically unlatch the lug of the chip base.
