    Abstract: The invention provides a lithium battery, including: a cathode plate and an anode plate; a separator disposed between the cathode plate and the anode plate to define a reservoir region; and an electrolyte filled in the reservoir region. A thermal protective film is provided to cover a material of the cathode plate or the anode plate. When a battery temperature rises over an onset temperature of the thermal protective film, it undergoes a crosslinking reaction to inhibit thermal runaway. A method for fabricating the lithium ion battery is also provided.

A passivation protector (110) is formed on a surface of an anode (102) in advance by film deposition, such as atomic layer deposition (ALD). The passivation protector (110) is composed of a metal oxide having three dimensional structures, such as columnar structures. Accordingly, the present invention is provided with effective protection of the anode electrode structure and maintenance of battery cycle life under high-temperature operation.

    Abstract: A lithium battery and a method for fabricating the same are provided. The lithium battery includes an anode, a cathode located opposite to the anode, a separator and an electrolyte solution. The separator is located between the anode and the cathode, wherein the anode, the cathode and the separator commonly define a containing region. The electrolyte solution is located in the containing region, and includes an organic solvent, a lithium salt and an additive. The additive includes a maleimide-based compound and a hydroxyl-containing species having a molecular weight less than 1000, and a content of the hydroxyl-containing species in the electrolyte solution ranges between 0.05 wt % and 5 wt %. The lithium battery and the fabrication method thereof can solve problems of water contained in the battery, and an environment with high dryness and low moisture content is unnecessary for fabrication, thereby reducing the production cost and enhancing the battery performance.
