  • Patent number: 6703173
Abstract: A color filter for liquid crystal display panels. The filter includes a transparent substrate with a metal layer formed thereon, and a first color layer, a second colour layer and a third color layer are integrally formed with the same metal layer. The invention also provides a method for producing the color filter described above. The method applies the theory of oxidizing metal layers by repeatedly exposing and oxidizing to form a color filter having multiple integrally formed colors. Depending on requirements, the color filter of the invention also includes the black matrix that is often included in liquid crystal display panels.

  • Publication number: 20030118921
Abstract: A micro-fluidic manufacturing method of forming a color filter. First, a transparent substrate is provided with a plurality of black matrixes. Then, a plurality of ribs are formed on the black matrixes respectively, wherein the width of the rib is not larger than the width of the black matrix. Next, a plurality of micro fluids is injected within a plurality of predetermined areas separated by the ribs, wherein the micro fluids within each predetermined area are mixed to serve as an ink. Next, each ink within each predetermined area is dried to form a plurality of color layers of different colors. Finally, after removing the ribs, a transparent conductive layer is formed on the transparent substrate to cover the black matrixes and the color layers.

  • Patent number: 6540341
Abstract: The ink cartridge is provided with a pressure controller to regulate the inner pressure therein by atmospheric pressure while the ink stored in the ink cartridge is gradually drained off. The ink is stored in a container with negative pressure therein, and at least one through hole formed on the container is used to connect to the atmosphere, and at least one recess is formed on the inner wall of the through hole. The pressure controller has a plug movably disposed on the through hole and the recesses. The recesses are used as a channel to allow the entrance of the atmospheric air, and the plug can be automatically moved so as to enlarge the clearance between the plug and the through hole while the ink stored in the ink cartridge is gradually drained off. The inputted air can effectively reduce the negative pressure in the container, and therefore the printing process of the ink cartridge can be proceeding steadily.

  • Patent number: 6412929
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cartridge for supplying fluid to an ink jet nozzle. The fluid or ink level of the cartridge is indicated by a visualization through a transparent plate and has a scale to facilitate the determination of remaining ink in the cartridge. The cartridge additionally possesses features which allow ink to be guided and collected into a recess thereby reducing the amount of residual ink which remains in a cartridge.

  • Patent number: 6199974
Abstract: An ink supply system of a printing device, particularly designed for printing wide-sized media or documents, includes a container, a delivery device and a closed-loop belt. The container has a longitudinal opening and is provided with ink chambers, and the belt is disposed onto the opening of the container. The delivery device includes an intermediate and tubes. The intermediate is connected to the belt and used to move the tubes along the opening. Each if the tubes has a sucking portion immersed in the corresponding ink and a discharge portion used to connect to the corresponding printhead. The belt is connected to and pulled by the delivery device, and the holes are used to position the sucking portions, respectively. When the delivery device is actuated, the tubes are synchronously moved with the delivery device and the belt. The tubes with capillary action can continuously absorb the inks stored in the container and output it through the printheads without pressure loss.
