  • Publication number: 20170117738
Abstract: A method and apparatus for visually indicating battery pack information related to wirelessly charging a battery pack via a wireless charging mat. The method includes uniquely associating, with a controller of the wireless charging mat, each visual indicator of a first plurality of visual indicators on the wireless charging mat with one of a first plurality of sensors on the wireless charging mat. The method further includes receiving the battery pack information from the battery pack with one or more of the first plurality of sensors. The method further includes wirelessly charging the battery pack using the wireless charging mat, and illuminating the first plurality of visual indicators based on the battery pack information.

  • Patent number: 8135364
Abstract: Communication equipment includes a circuit generating an RF input signal; a PA receiving a supply voltage, receiving the RF input signal, and providing an amplified version of the RF input signal as an output signal that is associated with an output power of the communication equipment; and an output circuit that includes an antenna for transmitting the output signal. The communication equipment also includes: a voltage detector circuit including sensing circuitry for sensing the supply voltage and a comparator for comparing the supply voltage to a first voltage threshold and generating a control signal when the supply voltage exceeds the first voltage threshold; and a disabling circuit coupled to the voltage detection circuit for disabling a portion of the communication equipment in response to the control signal to maintain output power of the communication equipment below a maximum output power level.

  • Publication number: 20100022209
Abstract: The application discloses a method and apparatus for reducing peak current variation in a radio. The method includes monitoring (202) output power of a power amplifier (106) and determining (204) that the output power of the power amplifier is above a predefined threshold. The method then includes controlling (206) input power of the power amplifier (106) so that the output power is reduced below the predefined threshold. The method further includes isolating the power amplifier (106) from receiving signals reflected from an antenna (112) such that the output power is maintained below the predefined threshold. The method then includes effecting (208) amplification of a radio frequency signal at the maintained output power in the linear region of operation such that the radio frequency signal is amplified with reduced peak current variation.
