Abstract: A bar clamp includes a slide bar having forward ratchet teeth; first and second moveable jaws slidably put on the slide bar; a slotted trigger handle; first and second linkages at opposite sides of the slide bar in a cavity of the second moveable jaw, each linkage comprising first, second, and third links wherein one ends of the links are pivotably secured together, and the other ends thereof are pivotably secured to the second moveable jaw, the trigger handle, and the slide bar respectively; a release lever fastened in the slot and comprising a well at one end, a trigger at the other end, and a resilient member interconnecting the slot and the bottom of the trigger; and a pivotal pawl comprising pawl teeth at one end being in mesh with one end of the ratchet teeth, and a projection at the other end being moveably received in the well.

Abstract: A pair of locking pliers includes a first handle having a holed wall; a second handle pivotably secured to the first handle; a multi-sided link pivotably secured to a jaw of the second handle and including a shank passed through the wall; an L-shaped lever pivotably secured to the first handle and including a first portion disposed rearward of the wall, a projected second portion between the handles, and a multi sided aperture through the first portion with a rear end of the link passed through; and a spring put on the link and biased between the wall and the first portion. The link is locked in the aperture by disposing the first portion obliquely about the link. Pivoting the lever will compress the spring, unlock the pliers by disposing the link perpendicularly to the first portion, and pivotably push the first and second handles away from each other.

Abstract: A mechanism includes a first push button at one side and a spring-biased second push button at the other side such that pressing the first push button will lock a slide bar of a vise and a fixed jaw carrier thereof by inserting a first pin of the first push button into one positioning hole of the slide bar, pressing the second push button to insert a second pin thereof into one positioning hole by pushing the first pin out of one positioning hole with the spring being compressed, and releasing the second push button will cause the spring to expand to push the second push button outwardly and push the second pin out of one positioning hole for unlocking the slide bar.
