Abstract: A packaging device has a container provided with a shock-absorbing unit that includes a bottom pad, and a plurality of side pads extending upward from opposite sides of the bottom pad. Each of the bottom and side pads includes a plate member that has a corrugated base plate region and a peripheral flange surrounding the corrugated base plate region. The corrugated base plate region projects from an inner surface of the container to absorb shock when the peripheral flange abuts against the inner surface. Partition pads are provided to span opposite side pads when an object to be packaged is small.
