  • Patent number: 7499627
Abstract: An apparatus for recording and reproducing information includes a playing section and a recording section. The playing section has a play speed control unit for determining a play speed, and an image play unit for playing an image according to the play speed. The recording section has a query unit for outputting a query signal to the play speed control unit in order to acquire the play speed, and an image record unit for recording the image by proceeding to a record action according to the play speed. The method and apparatus for recording and reproducing information can efficiently increase record speed and short record time.

  • Publication number: 20070098353
Abstract: A recording/reproducing apparatus with a surveillance function includes a first signal input terminal for receiving video signals from an image-capturing device; a second signal input terminal for receiving TV signals from a TV signal source; a control circuit coupled to the first and second signal input terminals for processing the video signals and/or the TV signals and executing a comparing procedure of the video signals, and when a first video signal and a second video signal sequentially received via the first signal input terminal have a difference greater than a threshold, converting the second video signal into a written data; and a storage device coupled to the control circuit for storing the written data.

  • Publication number: 20050238319
Abstract: A recordable player has an external storage device to advantageously extend the capacity, facilitate the portability and provide the aseismatic design. The external storage device is additionally connected to a DVD or VCD recordable player. A USB transmission port or an IEEE 1394 transmission port is embedded in the DVD or VCD recordable player. Thus, data transmission between the player and the external storage device may be made through a USB transmission line or an IEEE 1394 transmission line. Therefore, AV data can be transferred to the external storage device from the DVD or VCD recordable player such that the AV data can be edited, rewritten and deleted. In addition, the data in the external storage device also can be transferred back to the DVD recordable player so that the data can be recorded and played.

  • Publication number: 20050219977
Abstract: A digital recording/reproducing apparatus, such as a DVD recorder, is capable of copying data between a non-volatile memory thereof and a disc at different rotating speeds. By asserting a speed-up signal to the control circuit for controlling the disc burner of the digital recording/reproducing apparatus via a command input device, the rotating speed of the disc burner can be accelerated so as to speed up the recordation of data. For example, a hot key on the control panel or remote controller can be triggered to assert the speed-up signal.
