    Abstract: A laser-optical position detecting module with a laser as a light source is disclosed, which includes a laser mode conversing assembly, having a laser source capable of emitting a time-modulated laser beam; a laser mode conversing unit, used to expand the time-modulated laser beam to a two-dimension sensing plane; a drive control unit, adopted for driving the laser source to emit the time-modulated laser beam; and a detector matrix. The laser mode conversing unit has a phase delay device and a passive optical device capable of reflecting the light; so that, through the laser mode conversing unit, the laser-optical position detecting module can expand the light emitted by the laser source to the two-dimension sensing plane without using any other mechanical scanning.

    Abstract: A long linear-type microwave plasma source using a variably-reduced-height rectangular waveguide as the plasma reactor has been developed. Microwave power is fed from the both sides of the waveguide and is coupled into plasma through a long slot cut on the broad side of the waveguide. The reduced height of the waveguide is variable in order to control the coupling between microwave and plasma so that the plasma uniformity can remain a high quality when extending the length of the linear-type plasma source.

    Abstract: A susceptor positioning and supporting device of a vacuum apparatus for carrying and elevating a substrate in a vacuum apparatus chamber is provided. The device has a lateral positioning and supporting mechanism to perform clamping and positioning at a side of a susceptor, preventing the susceptor from slanting inside the vacuum apparatus chamber. The lateral positioning and supporting mechanism and the susceptor thereby forms a closed beam support mechanism capable of reducing load suspension deformation at the ends of the large susceptor. The hybrid power-generating device is primarily comprised of: a primary electrical generator and an auxiliary electrical generator with different characteristics, both mechanically coupled to a prime while enabling the rated power of the auxiliary electrical generator to be smaller than that of the primary electrical generator; wherein, as the prime is operating at a low rotation speed or at its initial operating stage, the auxiliary electrical generator is enabled to be driven and activated thereby; and as the operating speed of the driver is stabilized and reaches a predetermined value, the primary electrical generator is then being driven and activated thereby. By the aforesaid hybrid power-generating device, not only the overall performance and the stability of power grid are enhanced, but also the operating cost is reduced.

    Abstract: A wind turbine with a self-contained power system is disclosed. The self-contained power system comprises an auxiliary generator with a winding disposed on the rotor side while the magnetic poles of the auxiliary generator are disposed at components moving relatively to the rotation of the rotor. Thereby, a back electromotive force (emf) is generated in the winding due to the relative motion of the winding with respect to the magnetic poles as the rotor is rotating, and consequently the self-contained power system generates electricity to provide the power for driving the rotor to rotate. Therefore, the ability of the wind turbine to operate independently is enhanced since the amount of back-up power supply required is reduced and the structure of the wind turbine is simplified. Therefore the cost of the wind turbine is reduced, and the system reliability is increased.
