  • Patent number: 7082123
Abstract: A redial system for a VoIP modem includes a subscriber line interface circuit (SLIC) for interfacing analog telephone signals from a telephone set to the VoIP modem and for generating redial signals to a public switched telephone network (PSTN), a first relay for connecting the telephone set with the PSTN or connecting the telephone set with the SLIC, a dummy load, a second relay connected between the PSTN and the dummy load for establishing or de-establishing a connection between the PSTN and the dummy load, a third relay connected between the first relay and the SLIC for establishing or de-establishing a connection between the first relay and the SLIC, and a control circuit for controlling the second and third relays to establish the connection between the PSTN and the dummy load and de-establish the connection between the first relay and the SLIC during the generation of the redial signals.

  • Publication number: 20050073995
Abstract: A VoIP device comprises a subscriber line interface circuit, a relay, a processor, and a dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) coupling circuit. The relay is selectively coupled to a PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) or coupled to a VoIP network through the subscriber line interface circuit. The processor determines whether a transmission from the telephone through the subscriber line interface circuit is a PSTN phone number or a VoIP phone number. When the transmission is a VoIP phone number, the processor routes the transmission to the VoIP network. When the transmission is a PSTN phone number, the processor instructs the subscriber line interface circuit to generate a DTMF redial number. The DTMF coupling circuit receives the DTMF redial number and routes the DTMF redial number to the PSTN network.

  • Publication number: 20040204995
Abstract: A website system is used for managing a plurality of commercial points. The website system conveys a predetermined amount of commercial points from a user to an acceptor according to a conveying message. The conveying message comprises an identification data of the acceptor and the amount of the predetermined commercial points. The website system comprises a memory, a conveying mechanism, and a notifying mechanism. The memory at least records a user's data. The user's data at least comprises an identification data of the user and an amount of at least one kind of commercial points under the user's name. The conveying mechanism receives the conveying message and conveys the predetermined amount of commercial points form the user to the acceptor. The notifying mechanism generates a conveying message and, according to the identification data of the acceptor in the conveying message, delivers the conveying message to the acceptor via a network communication mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20040199873
Abstract: A website system is used for manipulating a digital content in a client computer. The digital content comprises a plurality of object-behaviors. The website system at least comprises a communication interface, a memory and a behavior playing mechanism. The communication interface is used for setting up a communication link with the client computer. The memory is used for storing the digital content and a behavior sequence which is an order of the object-behaviors being triggered. The digital content and the behavior sequence are downloaded to the client computer via the communication link through the communication interface. The behavior playing mechanism which is downloaded to the client computer via the communication link through the communication interface is used for triggering the object-brhaviors in a proper order based on the behavior sequence.

  • Publication number: 20040095367
Abstract: A method is provided to virtually manipulate a digital content. The digital content comprises at least one object. The object comprises at least one behavior. The method comprises steps of: (1) providing a visible driving object in the digital content, in which the visible driving object has a plurality of statuses and is able to actively change a current status; (2) designating the object according to a first status of the visible driving object; (3) designating the behavior according to a second status of the visible driving object; and (4) virtually manipulating the behavior of the object.

  • Publication number: 20040073940
Abstract: A method for a broadband modem to process incoming calls. The broadband modem is coupled to a PSTN (public switched telephone network) and a VoIP network. First, an call is incoming by the broadband modem. Then, the broadband modem detects whether the incoming call is routed from the PSTN network or the VoIP network. When the incoming call is routed from the PSTN network, the broadband modem establishes a connection between a telephone coupled to the broadband modem and the PSTN network through a switch. When the incoming call is routed from the VoIP network, the broadband modem establishes a connection between the telephone and the VoIP network through the switch.
