    Abstract: Systems and methods for lighting control are disclosed. The system may include at least one lighting device providing illumination and a handheld unit coupled with the lighting device to control at least one of a controllable lighting state, a controllable lighting intensity, and a controllable lighting effect of the lighting device. The handheld unit may include an image-capturing device and a processor coupled with the image-capturing device. The processor may be configured to control the image-capturing device to capture an image of a space affected by the lighting device; analyze an luminance level of the space; receive a lighting parameter; and provide a command to the lighting device for controlling at least one of the controllable lighting state, the controllable lighting intensity, and the controllable lighting effect of the lighting device based on at least one of the image, the luminance level, and the lighting parameter.

    Abstract: A constant power control apparatus and a controlling method thereof are provided. The constant power control apparatus outputs output power to a load element. The constant power control apparatus includes a compensation and modification device, a constant power control device, and a power generation circuit. The compensation and modification device receives an expected output power voltage and a voltage feedback signal relating to the output power. The compensation and modification device transforms the expected output power voltage into a current reference value, and modifies the current reference value to generate a modified current reference value according to the voltage feedback signal. The constant power control device receives the modified current reference value and a current feedback signal relating to the output power, and generates a control signal for use in power modulation. The power generation circuit receives the control signal and outputs the output power.

The method includes setting initial operating parameters of the ballast to turn on the HID lamp, generating starting transient electric characteristic values of the HID lamp by measuring actual electric parameters at a predetermined time during a transient process after the HID lamp is turned on, searching stored data for a rated power corresponding to the starting transient electric characteristic value range of the HID lamp after determining that the starting transient electric characteristic value is within stored starting transient electric characteristic value ranges of the HID lamp, and searching the stored data for a corresponding ballast operating parameter, to allow the HID lamp to operate in the corresponding rated power, and realize that a single ballast can be adapted to and control the HID lamps to operable in their respective specific rated power.

    Abstract: A single-stage electronic ballast device outputs a square wave current to drive an HID lamp, which includes a rectifying and power factor correction unit, a bridge converter and a controller circuit. The rectifying and power factor correction unit has an input connected to an AC power source to rectify an AC power to a DC power. The bridge converter comprises two bridge arms formed by four switches, load terminals defined by midpoints of the two bridge arms and the HID lamp is connected between the load terminals. The bridge converter converts DC current to square wave current to drive the HID lamp with power control. The load terminals are selectively connected to output of the rectifying and power factor correction unit to adjust waveform of input current for higher power factor. The controller circuit has output connected to DC link voltage terminal and load terminal of the bridge converter.
