  • Publication number: 20240096818
Abstract: Devices and method for forming a shielding assembly including a first chip package structure sensitive to magnetic interference (MI), a second chip package structure sensitive to electromagnetic interference (EMI), and a shield surrounding sidewalls and top surfaces of the first chip package structure and the second chip package structure, in which the shield is a magnetic shielding material. In some embodiments, the shield may include silicon steel, in some embodiments, the shield may include Mu-metal. The silicon-steel-based or Mu-metal-based shield may provide both EMI and MI protection to multiple chip package structures with various susceptibilities to EMI and MI.

  • Patent number: 5574895
Abstract: A multi-memory function programmable counter or multi-memory function programmable timer capable of selectively assuming a plurality of counter or timer configurations. The main components of the present invention include a microprocessor, plurality of memory storage locations, and a keypad. Each of the plurality of memory storage locations stores a set of counter or timer function parameters and a preset count or time value, each of which defines a respective counter or timer configuration. The microprocessor includes a primary memory storage device for storing an operating system and a set of permissible values for a respective member of each set of the counter or timer function parameters. The keypad is coupled to the microprocessor to allow the user to select a value for each member of each set of counter or timer function parameters and for the preset count or time value. The value for each member of each set of counter or timer function parameters is selected from the set of permissible values.

  • Patent number: 5458464
Abstract: A blade mounting device for a ceiling fan includes a plurality of brackets each having a first distal end portion fixedly attached to a rotary portion of the ceiling fan and a second distal end portion onto which a corresponding one of blades is threadedly fitted, a plurality of recesses being defined in an underside of the second distal end portion of each of the brackets, a plurality of decorative members each fittingly mounted in and flush with a corresponding one of the recesses, each of the decorative members having a different configuration and decorative profile with each other.

  • Patent number: 5420537
Abstract: Although known because of high packaging inductances and thought to be wholly unsuitable for RF amplifiers, high voltage power switching MOSFETs of the type having coplanar leads having inductances on the order of between 8 nH and 15 nH are used in an RF amplifier. The individual devices operate on a high impedance load line to render the high inductance insignificant. The circuit configuration presents a high impedance to the output, eliminating the need for expensive combiners and low inductance packaging.

  • Patent number: 5030915
Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging detection coil includes an outer coil divided into two symmetrical coils by a transverse central conductor. A 180.degree. phase shift network is coupled across the junction of the central transverse conductor with the outer conductor for providing the central conductor with a virtual ground potential when a magnetic field normal to the general plane of the coil system is present. The two coils formed by the central conductor and the outer conductor form parallel coils functioning similarly as a butterfly coil. The currents in the central conductor are cumulative, flowing in the same direction. The parallel coil system induces current on the central conductor which is 90.degree. out of phase with the current induced in the outer conductor. The signals corresponding to the parallel coil and series coil arrangement are then phase shift combined to place these signals in phase.
