  • Patent number: 11397868
Abstract: A system includes a memory and a processor configured to execute computer instructions stored in the memory that when executed cause the system to perform operations. The computer instructions include a learning component that includes one or more trained models to learn pathogenic features of a given fungal species based on learning from a plurality of stored fungal species images. A fungal identifier component employs the trained models to determine pathogenic parameters of an unidentified fungal species image based on the learned pathogenic features. The fungal identifier component generates an output file that classifies the unidentified fungal species image according to the determined pathogenic parameters from the unidentified fungal species image.

  • Patent number: 9248072
Abstract: A fixing device for adjusting a telescoping arrangement comprises a seat disposed on an outer telescoping tube, a propelling arrangement disposed on the seat and inserted into limiting slots of an inner telescoping tube, a locking arrangement pivotally disposed on the seat to prop against the propelling arrangement, and a fastening arrangement fixing the locking arrangement to the seat. The movement of the locking arrangement toward the seat pushes the propelling arrangement to position the telescoping tubes, and concurrently an elastic member of the fastening arrangement springs against a fastening member of the fastening arrangement to make a fastening part of the fastening member lock with a fastened member which is disposed on the seat and thus position the locking arrangement, thereby preventing an unexpected slide of the telescoping tubes caused by touching the locking arrangement carelessly and increasing the use safety efficiently.

  • Patent number: 8474838
Abstract: A hidden braking device installed on an adjustable walking aid has a connecting unit installed in the walking aid. The connecting unit has an upper shaft connecting to a braking grip, a lower shaft connected to a braking unit, an adjusting seat fixed to the lower shaft for the upper shaft to penetrate, a moving member slidably disposed in the adjusting seat for propelling the upper shaft, and a fastening unit disposed out of the walking aid, corresponding to the moving member. In adjusting the height of the walking aid, the fastening unit utilizes its magnetic attraction to control the moving member. The moving member is influenced to engage with one fixing slot defined on the upper shaft. The height of the walking aid and the length of the connecting unit are concurrently adjusted, which increases the operational convenience.

  • Publication number: 20070133133
Abstract: A magnetoresistive sensor having an in stack bias structure and a pinned layer having shape enhanced anisotropy. The sensor may be a partial mill design wherein the track width of the sensor is defined by the width of the free layer and the pinned layers extend beyond the trackwidth of the sensor. The sensor has an active area defined by the stripe height of the free layer. The pinned layer extends beyond the stripe height defined by the free layer, thus providing the pinned layer with the shape enhanced anisotropy. The pinned layer structure can be pinned by exchange coupling with a layer of antiferromagnetic material (AFM) layer, with pinning robustness being improved by the shape enhanced anisotropy, or can be a self pinned structure which is pinned by a combination of magnetostriction, AP coupling and shape enhanced anisostropy.

  • Publication number: 20070127167
Abstract: A magnetoresistive sensor having a lead overlay defined trackwidth and a pinned layer that extends beyond the stripe height defined by the free layer of the sensor. The extended pinned layer has a strong shape induced anisotropy that maintains pinning of the pinned layer moment. The extended portion of the pinned layer has sides beyond the stripe height that are perfectly aligned with the sides of the sensor within the stripe height. This perfect alignment is made possible by a manufacturing method that uses a mask structure for more than one manufacturing phase, eliminating the need for multiple mask alignments. The lead overlay design allows narrow, accurate trackwidth definition.

  • Publication number: 20070086122
Abstract: A current perpendicular to plane (CPP) magnetoresistive sensor having a track width that is defined by an area of contact with a shield/lead. The sensor includes a sensor stack having a width W1. A current path defining insulation layer formed over the sensor stack has an opening with a width W2 that is significantly smaller than the width W1 of the sensor stack. A shield/lead extends into the opening in the insulation layer to contact a surface of the sensor stack. This area of contact between the shield/lead and the surface of the sensor stack defines an active area of the sensor having a width of substantially W2. The edges of the sensor stack, which may have compromised magnetic properties due to the formation of the sensor stack are advantageously removed from the active area of the senor. Furthermore, the edges of the free layer, which may be pinned by the hard bias layers are also advantageously removed from the active area of the sensor.

  • Publication number: 20070048624
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention is a magnetic head with overlaid lead pads that contact the top surface of the sensor between the hardbias structures and do not contact the hardbias structures which are electrically insulated from direct contact with the sensor. The lead pad contact area on the top of the sensor is defined by sidewall deposition of a conductive material to form leads pads on a photoresist prior to formation of the remainder of the leads. The conductive material for the lead pads is deposited at a shallow angle to maximize the sidewall deposition on the photoresist, then ion-milled at a high angle to remove the conductive material from the field while leaving the sidewall material. An insulation layer is deposited on the lead material at a high angle, then milled at a shallow angle to remove insulation from the sidewall.
