Abstract: A supporting instrument with modular intramedullary nail comprising a plurality of intramedullary nails and a coupling module is presented. Each intramedullary nail is in a form of a long rod and has a coupling portion arranged between two ends of the intramedullary nail and an abutting surface along a longitudinal face of the intramedullary nail. The coupling module is mounted to the coupling portions of the plurality of intramedullary nails for the abutting surfaces of the plurality of intramedullary nails to abut against each other and assembling the plurality of intramedullary nails.

Abstract: A resistive touch device with no visual color difference comprises a first transparent conductive substrate, a second transparent conductive substrate and a spacer layer. The first transparent conductive substrate with a bottom thereof has a plurality of first transparent conductive electrodes, and a first voltage difference in a first direction. The second transparent conductive substrate with a top thereof has a plurality of second transparent conductive electrodes, and a second voltage difference in a second direction. The first direction is perpendicular to the second direction. The spacer layer is formed between the first and second transparent conductive substrates, which is used for isolating the first transparent conductive electrode and the second transparent conductive electrode.

Abstract: A reading light includes a light emitting diode (LED) capable of emitting light, a transparent pressable member, and a flexible printed circuit board capable of connecting a power supply to the LED. When the pressable member is at a normal state, the flexible printed circuit is disconnects the LED from the power supply to power off the LED. When the pressable member is at a depressed state, the flexible printed circuit electrically connects the LED to the power supply to powered on the LED.

Abstract: An exercise-cord anchored device is used to detachably secure an anchoring end of an elastic cord, and includes an anchored mount, a biasing member, and a tubular insert. The anchored mount has an inner tubular wall defining an insert opening and having an inserting route, a seat, and a rest wall. The biasing member is disposed in the insert opening. The tubular insert is coupled to the elastic cord, is insertable into the insert opening and is manually movable against the biasing force of the biasing member, and has a protuberance configured to be guided along the inserting route. When the mounting end is pushed manually to permit the protuberance to extend beyond the seat, the protuberance is turned angularly over the seat so as to abut against the rest wall, thereby retaining the tubular insert to the anchored mount.

Abstract: Disclosed are an alarm method and system based on voice events, and a building method on behavior trajectory thereof. The system comprises a signal sensor, a voice-event detector and notice and alarm element. In the method, voice signals are captured from a remote unit in an environment. The captured voice signals are classified into at least a voice event. As such, an emergent-event notice is automatically transmitted out if one of predefined emergent events is detected. In the building method on behavior trajectory, messages on voice events are continuously recorded. When the number of the recorded voice events reaches a threshold, a behavior trajectory is constructed, in which a behavior consists of two or more voice events or a single voice event.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing flexible color filter substrate includes the following steps. First, a rigid substrate is provided. The rigid substrate has an upper surface and a lower surface opposite to the upper surface. The upper surface includes a first region and a second region located at a periphery of the first region. Next, a release layer is formed on the first region. Next, a flexible substrate layer is formed to cover the second region and the release layer. Next, a color photoresist layer is formed on a portion of the flexible substrate layer above the release layer. Next, the rigid substrate and the flexible substrate layer are cut along a border between the first region and the second region. Next, the flexible substrate layer is separated with the release layer. The method for manufacturing flexible color filter substrate can improve optical performance of the flexible color filter substrate.

Abstract: A temperature compensating device for providing active bias for an amplifier includes a voltage source, a plurality of loads, and a current generator for generating a current for the amplifier according to voltages provided by the voltage source and the plurality of loads, wherein a first load of the plurality of loads is a thermistor utilized for keeping the current within a specified range under a plurality of ambient temperatures.

The first substrate or the second substrate is adapted to forming an electric field in the accommodating room. The dielectric liquid is disposed in the accommodating room and has a first dielectric constant. The dielectrophoretic particles are dispersed in the dielectric liquid. Each of the dielectrophoretic particles has a first color and a second dielectric constant different from the first one. The electrophoretic particles are dispersed in the dielectric liquid. Each of the electrophoretic particles has a second color different from the first one. Another display is also provided.

Abstract: A display device with touch panel and a fabricating method thereof are provided. The display device with touch panel includes a flexible display panel and a force sensitive touch panel. The force sensitive touch panel is disposed under a portion of the flexible display panel. Since the force sensitive touch panel is only configured under the portion of the flexible display panel, the display device with touch panel may have touching control function and flexibility at the same time.

Abstract: A flexible display device includes an array substrate, a display medium layer, a transparent substrate and a first sealant. The array substrate has a display region and a sealant spread region surrounding the display region. The display medium layer is disposed on the array substrate and located in the display region. The transparent substrate is disposed above the display medium layer. The first sealant is formed between the array substrate and the transparent substrate and located in the sealant spread region of the array substrate. The first sealant has a first sidewall and a second sidewall. One of the first sidewall and the second sidewall has a plurality of fillisters arranged at intervals. Since the first sealant of the flexible display device has the fillisters arranged at intervals, the stress imposed on the first sealant may be decreased. Therefore, the life of the first sealant may be prolonged and the sealing performance of the flexible display device can be improved.

Abstract: A sound event detecting module for detecting whether a sound event with characteristic of repeating is generated. A sound end recognizing unit recognizes ends of sounds according to a sound signal to generate sound sections and multiple sets of feature vectors of the sound sections correspondingly. A storage unit stores at least M sets of feature vectors. A similarity comparing unit compares the at least M sets of feature vectors with each other, and correspondingly generates a similarity score matrix, which stores similarity scores of any two of the sound sections of the at least M of the sound sections. A correlation arbitrating unit determines the number of sound sections with high correlations to each other according to the similarity score matrix. When the number is greater than one threshold value, the correlation arbitrating unit indicates that the sound event with the characteristic of repeating is generated.

The microcontroller is set on the hard disk backplane for decoding the message from the host bus adapter in order to control the displaying of the status light.

The motherboards have a micro control unit, and the functional components are electrically connected to the chassis management board, in which the micro control unit processes the data and passes the processed data to the chassis management board through a transmission line. The chassis management board receives and decodes the information from the micro control unit, then the chassis management board transmits the decoded information to the functional elements. The chassis management board also receives and passes the information returned from the functional components to the micro control unit through the transmission line.

Abstract: The present invention provides a laser rangefinder and a method of activating the laser rangefinder to measure distance. The laser rangefinder has a first sensing to sense whether the user is aiming the laser rangefinder at a target and a second sensing device to sense an acceleration of the laser rangefinder and the acceleration has to be smaller than a preset value. The laser rangefinder will be automatically activated to measure distance when both of the first sensing device and the second device are checked.

Abstract: A method of identifying a drug candidate to a target protein for inhibiting shikimate pathway comprising (a) performing a molecular program for computing a molecule conformation and orientation relative to an active site of the target protein and selecting top-rank molecules, (b) generating protein-molecule interacting profiles and identifying conserved interactions and pharmacophore spots, (c) developing homologous pharmacophore models for identifying pharmacophore hot spots, (d) rescoring molecules selected from step (a) by their homologous pharmacophore scores, (e) selecting potential molecules having the highest homologous pharmacophore scores, and (f) acquiring corresponding real compounds of the potential molecules selected from step (c) and identifying their inhibitory activity on the target protein by bioassay.

Abstract: Disclosed is an image recording apparatus capable of preventing maloperations when entering into sleep mode. The image recording apparatus comprises a display module, a detecting unit, a power supply unit, a first switch, a second switch and a control unit having an interrupt unit. The control unit controls the first switch in an on-state to supply power to the display module and the detecting unit and executes a corresponding operation. After an idle status of the image recording apparatus exceeds a predetermined time, the control unit disables the interrupt unit and controls the second switch in an on-state and the first switch in an off-state to supply power to the detecting unit via the second switch. After a default time, the control unit enables the interrupt unit, therefore, maloperations when entering into the sleep mode can be prevented.
