  • Patent number: 7331184
Abstract: A hot-cold cushion includes a heat/cool device, a connecting tube and a cushion with circulating pipes. The heat/cool device composed of a thermo semiconductor chip, a thermoconductor, a fan, a heat dissipation member, a box with liquid, and a hydraulic pump is connected with circulating pipes inside the cushion by the connecting tube so as to form a circulation loop. By exchange of the positive/negative electrodes of direct current, the thermo semiconductor chip produces heat or cold that is circulated and dissipated by the heat/cool device so as to regulate the temperature of the cushion into a suitable range for human bodies. Therefore, the hot-cold cushion achieves better effect.

  • Patent number: 6761410
Abstract: A gear-controlled height-adjusting mechanism for armrest of office chair mainly includes an armrest support received in a housing, an elongated slide member vertically movably connected to an upper outer side of the armrest support and having a bottom rack, and a gear set mounted on the armrest support. The gear set includes a driving gear meshing with the rack, and a driven gear meshing with a vertical row of locating holes provided in the housing. The height-adjusting mechanism further includes a release mechanism for freely lowering the armrest support to a desired height. To adjust the armrest to a higher position, simply alternately upward pull and release the slide member for the bottom rack to forward rotate the driving gear and accordingly the driven gear. When the forward rotating driven gear engages with the locating holes, the armrest support is gradually moved upward in multiple stages.

  • Patent number: 6572195
Abstract: A mechanism for adjusting distance between armrests of office chair includes a manipulating handle, to which a slide member, a base member, and an upper and a lower ratchet washer are sequentially mounted from top to bottom. The two ratchet washers contact with each other either in a tight or a loose relation through control of the manipulating handle. The base member is screwed to an underside of a seat of the chair, and the slide member is slidable relative to the base member with an outer end connected to a lower end of one armrest. By turning the handle in one direction for the two ratchet washers to contact with each other in the loose relation, the slide member can be loosened and adjusted to a desired position relative to the base member and thereby change the distance of a corresponding armrest relative to another armrest.

  • Patent number: 6336680
Abstract: A height-adjusting mechanism for armrest includes a slider movably mounted in a slide way of a sleeve connected at a lower end to a seat of an armchair. A retaining block horizontally extends through a transverse hole on the slider and into one of many vertically spaced locating holes on the slide way to hold the slider at a certain height relative to the sleeve. A long plate having a top handle is attached to one side of the slider and could be pulled upward and elastically return to an original position when being released. When the long plate is pulled upward, it drives the retaining block to disengage from the locating hole and allows the slider to freely move up and down. And, when the long plate is released, the retaining block is driven to engage into another locating hole to hold the slider to a new height.
