Abstract: Novel antacid preparations, methods of preparation of the same and a method of treating acidity related disorders using the said novel antacid composition are described. The antacid composition of this invention are based on use of proteins and their derivatives including their hydrolysates and enzymatic treatment products such as plasteins and their alkaline derivatives for actual acid neutralizing capacity or for discomfort relief or both.
