  • Publication number: 20160221792
Abstract: A locking device for the cab of an elevator includes two sets of locking members disposed on two sides of the cab respectively, each locking member including a spring-biased retractable lock pin extending out of either side of the cab; and two sets of plate members disposed on two opposite surfaces of a shaft respectively, each plate member including a hole aligned with the lock pin. The locking members co-act with a door of the cab. The lock pin either extends into the hole for locking the door of the cab when the door of the cab is open or removes out of the hole for unlocking the door of the cab when the door of the cab is closed.

  • Patent number: 7503433
Abstract: An elevator having an inner car suspended within an outer car, and which does not require the provision of mechanical room. A drive motor can be provided in one of rear side top, underside, and either side of the car. The invention has the following advantages. The vibration of inner car is reduced within an acceptable level for bringing a degree of comfort to passengers in the inner car while hoisting or lowering. The hoist ropes are prevented from slipping when a load of the car changes suddenly as in a case that many persons steps in or out of the car in a short period of time. An alignment of a bottom of the car with each of a plurality of levels is made possible when the elevator is stopped at each level. A manual escape device is provided for assisting passengers to escape in case of emergency.

  • Patent number: 7392885
Abstract: An emergency escape apparatus for elevator is disclosed. In response to power outage manually pulling an actuation rope will pivot a pivot bar counterclockwise to rotate front and rear cams, press front and rear cams onto front and rear actuation members respectively, lower a pinion to be in mesh with a gear on a front of a drive sheave, press pressing rollers onto hoist ropes, activate a bar member to deactivate a brake, close a switch, and activate a backup motor to turn the pinion and the drive sheave through the gear, thereby lowering a car until a safe floor is reached. In another operation speeding the car will automatically enable an electromagnetic actuator to pull the actuation rope and activate a main motor to lower the car.

  • Patent number: 7316297
Abstract: Provided is an elevator escape device. In response to a stop of the elevator due to power outage, a trapped person may press a switch to activate a backup generator, and either a backup electromagnetic contact is enabled if the backup generator functions normally or the person manipulates a handle to activate a slow movement assembly if the backup generator malfunctions. Thereafter, the brake is disabled by contacting a first detent a return assembly operates to return a slow movement assembly to its nonoperating position via a control assembly wherein electromagnetic contacts are short-circuited sequentially by contacting corresponding electromagnetic contacts, the car slowly arrives at a nearest correct floor, and the trapped person may to open a door to escape.

  • Publication number: 20070007085
Abstract: Provided is an elevator escape device comprising a slow movement assembly. In case of power outage a person trapped in the car can pull a rope or activate a backup generator by means of a remote control for enabling an electromagnetic actuator for closing an electromagnetic contact and disable a brake, and a sheave slowly rotates in response to a height difference between a counterweight and the car. In a ventilation system of the device in case of fire, smoke is filtered by a filter, a blower is activated to blow filtered air into the car, and the pressurized fresh air is drawn into the car.

  • Patent number: 6116380
Abstract: An elevator is provided with an emergency escape device consisting of a pull cable capable of bringing about the disengagement of a brake with a transmission shaft of a planetary deceleration motor, so as to actuate an action wheel to displace axially. A worm rod is actuated by an action cable such that the worm rod drives a worm wheel unidirectionally, thereby resulting in the actuation of the action wheel by the transmission wheel. The transmission shaft is so linked that the cable wheel is actuated to cause the elevator cab to ascend or descend slowly to reach a safe level to enable the elevator passengers to escape.

  • Patent number: 5737998
Abstract: A heavy-load hydraulic or air cylinder comprises a main body provided therein with an action rod having an driven end. The driven end is exerted on by the liquid or air pressure to actuate the action rod. The driven end is provided respectively on both sides thereof with a pressure bearing piece. The driven end and the pressure bearing piece are provided therebetween with a leakproof ring. The main body is further provided at the exit end thereof with at least one pressure bearing piece. The pressure bearing piece and an exit cap are provided therebetween with a leakproof ring. When the action rod is at work to bring about the pressure, the pressure bearing piece is acted on by the pressure, which is the transferred to act on the leakproof ring, which in turn generates the reaction force to act against the inner wall surface of the main body so as to enable the cylinder to withstand a heavy burden or weight.
