Abstract: A point-of-sale (POS) system includes a POS host, a plurality of client devices, and a wireless transmission device. The wireless transmission device includes a host-end wireless communication module coupled to the POS host, and a plurality of client-end wireless communication modules coupled respectively to the client devices. The POS host is operable to configure the host-end wireless communication module for generating a plurality of virtual COM ports. Each of the virtual COM ports is matched with a respective one of the client-end wireless communication modules, such that the POS host is able to communicate wirelessly with the client devices through the host-end wireless communication module and the client-end wireless communication modules.

Abstract: A method of handling datagrams in a network device coupled to other network devices is disclosed. The method includes the steps of receiving an incoming datagram at a port of the network device, determining an egress port for the incoming datagram based on a destination address contained in the incoming datagram and a lookup of an address resolution lookup (ARL) table and performing a lookup of the ARL table based on a source address contained in the incoming datagram to determine whether the source address has been learned previously. The method also includes the steps of writing an entry into the ARL table when the source address has not been learned previously, determining whether the other network devices have learned the source address when the source address has been learned previously and continuing to relay a learning message with the source address to the other network devices when it is determined that the other network devices have not learned the source address.

Abstract: A method of control in a system, which includes a media reader and a host unit, includes configuring the host unit to detect whether the media reader is responding, and configuring the host unit to reset the media reader when it is detected that the media reader stops responding. A system that includes the media reader and the host unit is also disclosed.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display module includes a backlight unit having a light exiting surface, a first polarizing layer disposed on the light exiting surface of the backlight unit, a liquid crystal cell disposed on one side of the first polarizing layer opposite to the backlight unit, a protective glass panel disposed on one side of the liquid crystal cell opposite to the first polarizing layer and cooperating with the liquid crystal cell to define a heat-dissipating space therebetween, and a second polarizing layer disposed on one side of the protective glass panel opposite to the liquid crystal cell.

Abstract: An injection blow molding method for producing plastic containers is to mount a movable mold board and a fixed mold board to an injection molding machine. A base mold board is mounted to the movable mold board and a rotatable mold board is pivotally mounted to the base mold board. An embryo molding station and a shape molding station is disposed between the rotatable mold board and the fixed moldboard. The embryo molding station and the shape molding station can be synchronously operated to form a container embryo and a shaped container at the same time.
