  • Publication number: 20070066816
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing a double-crosslinked hyaluronate material. A hyaluronic acid or a salt thereof is sequentially reacted with an epoxide compound and a carbodiimide compound to produce a more biodegradation-resistant hyaluronate material. The HA acid is preferably reacted with the carbodiimide first, and more preferably in a mixed solvent including water and an organic solvent, such as ketone.

  • Publication number: 20060189516
Abstract: This invention is concerned with a new method for producing cross-linked hyaluronic acid—protein bio-composites in various shapes. In the present process, a polysaccharide solution and a protein solution are mixed under moderate pH values in presence of salts to form a homogenous solution, which can be processed into various shapes, such as membrane, sponge, fiber, tube or micro-granular and so on. After then, the homogenous solution is subjected to a cross-linking reaction in organic solvent containing weak acid to produce an implantable bio composite material having excellent bio-compatibility, biodegradability, prolonged enzymatic degradation time, and good physical properties.

  • Patent number: 6852255
Abstract: This invention is concerned with a method for producing water-insoluble polysaccharides. A method for making the water-insoluble bio-compatible gel includes activating the hydroxyl-containing polysaccharides with the activating agent to form activated polysaccharides, and cross-linking the activated polysaccharides, under moderate conditions producing different shapes of the water-insoluble bio-compatible gel. The water-insoluble bio-compatible gels, films, porosities, powders, sheets, fibers and spheres of this invention may be applied to various medical and cosmetic uses.

  • Publication number: 20030176876
Abstract: A multi-channel bioresorbable nerve regeneration conduit and a process for preparing the conduit. The multi-channel bioresorbable nerve regeneration conduit includes a hollow round tube of a porous bioresorbable polymer and a multi-channel filler in the round tube. The multi-channel filler is a porous bioresorbable polymer film with an uneven surface and is single layer, multiple layer, in a folded form, or wound into a spiral shape.

  • Publication number: 20030100739
Abstract: This invention is concerned with a new method for producing different types of cross-linked hyaluronic acid—protein bio-composites. In the process of manufacture, polysaccharide and protein solution are mixed under moderate pH values and salts, and the well mixed solution can be prepared to various types, such as membrane, sponge, fiber, tube or micro-granular and so on. After then, with the bio-compatibility, biodegradation, prolong enzymatic degradation and good physical of bio-composite is formed in the little acid of organic solution that with the cross-linked reagent.
